Amazing.
four actuallyAll with different purposes.
I still have the "Old Town" which with the "kelly kettle", "millbank bag", "Hennesey Hammock" and my knowledge mean I can go up river for days and possibly weeks at a time with just a little rice and a few tea bags (and a pan) - and just "be me" - eat what I can forage and be content.
Not really what most want to do - but I'm a bit odd ! :rotfl:0 -

Listed some hand-knit stuff on fleabay. Probably won't sell - folk are notoriously stingy at paying for hand knit items even though they take hours upon hours to create  Had someone ask me once if I could knit them a jumper for £20. Yeah, if you want to earn 50p an hour at your job this week, too.
Sorry to hear about the rheumatoid arthritis, lexbubbles, it must make life very difficult and painful for you. You seem remarkably upbeat despite it, that's a wonderful characteristic to have:A
As for the cold, I know exactly what you mean:eek:. I was admiring the heated throw you mentioned recently on here or another thread where our paths cross;)but it wouldn't be much use to me as this is an old draughty house with lots of unheated rooms and I'm not in any one place for long enough to get the benefit of a lovely throw. Sorry to hear from your earlier post that yours hasn't been a great deal of use to you either:(. I hope you can get something sorted soon, it's a nightmare being cold:(
My Mum was a brilliant knitter, she was at it all the time and made beautiful garments with such intricate patterns/stitches. A large number were never worn and after she died I took a lot to a charity shop. I also tried to sell some at a table-top sale where a lot of people were selling craft-type stuff. I was amazed at the people who tried to haggle the price down to an insulting level:mad:. When I protested that so much time, effort and skill had gone into making them they said they didn't want to wear them but wanted to unravel them and re-use the yarn:eek:.0 -
Just had an email today from populus surveys to say I have reached £50 and will get a cheque within the next 2 or 3 weeks. They are my best survey site as that will be £200 this year.
I make my money with fleabay, surveys, swagbucks and using coupons
I'm having a lot more surveys from Populus now. Used to be very few and far between but seem to get several every week now and never seem to get screened out either:T. Had a payout earlier this year which seemed to take forever to get to but am already well on the way to the next one thanks to the increase in surveys:j. Nowhere near £200 in a year though so massive congratulations to you:beer:0 -

"NO" is a word which we need to think in terms of using more !
Things like gardemning and decorating - run in the same vain - everybody thinks they can do it themselves - well let them ! - around here £10 an hour for "gardening" and "cleaning" is the "right rate" - something which may be a consideration for some of us ! - a simple add in the local paper shop may make life easier for a few of us (But you can't do this if you're "on benefits" )0 -
WE've got some newbies joining the Fred, who would like to know how we all make great amounts each month.
So if you could just do a quick post saying :
for example
I carboot
sell on amazon
sell crafts on etsy
do surveys like swagbucks
etc that would be most helpful. Then that gives them some ideas on how we all make money.
and might give some of us another idea for income!
Most of my extra income comes from
tutoring (£25 ph)
pr0lific academic surveys
t0pcashback
sch00lzone
a few bits on eB!y
wombling leftover coins at school and around and about self service in supermarkets
using vouchers and points for shopping (with double up)
sh0pitize and C0S and rec!pth0g
Saying that, it's been quiet today - I haven't made any extra £££Not giving up
Working hard to pay off my debt
Time to take back control

My ongoing project is a large (king-size) blanket of the hieroglyphic transliteration chart. My professor suggested donating it as a raffle prize to Egyptology Scotland - until I pointed out that by the time I was done it would be worth around £1,500 in minimum-wage labour hours alone (at least 250 hours of work - it's all intarsia colourwork). He went white at that :rotfl:
Yeah sure I'll just donate a £1,500 blanket as a 'raffle prize' :eek:Aqua 0/1850 Cap.One 0/450 Vanquis 0/500 HSBC 0/100

£1.93 from slidejoy today.
Also doing a challenge on facebook where we try to make £3.28 a day. This in turn should achieve us £1200 in a year after saving hard lol. Seeing as a lot of my stuff is vouchers and not always hard cash this won't really work for me, but I am trying to use the paying sites rather than vouchers.
So far today I have managed to make £4.82 today - but that is bitty money that is not cashable yet apart from slidejoy.0 -
Luckyphone is on a triple rollover so please make sure you check your accounts!
ps 17 items on ebay and still have 93 listings left :rotfl:0 -

Wow!! What weight yarn is it in? I've just had the stupid idea to make a mitred square 4ply blanket on 3.75mm. It'll probably never get finished. I started a chunky Double bed blanket 3.5yrs ago and lost the will to live.
Scary isn't that people have NO idea how long things take to knit. Or how expensive the yarn can be. Or how complicated, I love intarsia but it's soo complicated to knit especially if it's more than 2 colours.Make £520 a year in 2020 so far (£0 cash £0 AGC)
(2019,£481.69) (2018, no idea!) ( 2017 £673.20) (2016 £800.97) (2015 £791.42/$312)

£30 to add from Fleabay - I'm ahead of target lol
I sell anything I can get my hands on on fleabay, and am trying to go from a clutterbug to a minimalist!!
Also do swags, GH and any other survey sites when I get chance!!
