Buy the iPhone 6 outright. It's always the cheapest option with maximum flexibility in terms of contract.Save £12k in 2022 thread #7:

Personally, i'd ask myself, "Do I really need an Iphone 6"?

Having a crazy amount of problems with my phone; decided I'm going to take the plunge and buy an iphone 6, soon, outright. I figured it'll be cheaper than tying into a contract, in the long term.
Also, gym membership fees (£32 a month) is killing me... Knowing it could be my phone contract.
Also haven't been to the gym since last year autumn and I'm scared that if I cancel and want to rejoin later they'll charge me a higher fee:embarasse
On the plus side I got 2 slices of Starbucks chocolate cake for free just by being the last customer and being very smiley...
Cancelt he gym and if you decide to start again, look for a PAYG (Pay as U Gym) place. If you don't go very much it could be better for you**Debt Free as of 15:55 on Friday 23rd March 2012**And I am staying that way

Ooo very frugal thought. That is the sensible thinking of which phone to get but if someone has already decided on the phone already, they have to decide on the most sensible way to get it. I would like to think I am stretching the lifespan of my iPhone to last a long time to make sure its cost is value.

Due to Bank Holiday being on Friday, We are getting paid a whole day early! lol
Got my payslip today and personal spreadsheet updated plus added March totals on the spreadsheet here. £1000 saved again this month - £200 into the HTB ISA and £800 in various other saving accounts.
Does anyone else have a weird aversion to seeing odd numbers in their accounts?
When I started my debt busting journey and doing the PAD'ing (Payment a day) I really can't stand seeing any sort of odd numbers in my account and shift them off to paypal instead =/Saved so far - £28,890.97

Declaring £200 for March.

Hi SF, managed £1134 this month, but next month I won't be saving anything, indeed I'll be taking some out from my savings for a new boiler, however, that's what savings are for, so shan't be reporting a negative. Indeed, when I think about it, what I have at the end of next month will still be 'savings' because I will not have spent it on fripperies. The new boiler has potential for further savings in future as it will, I trust, cost less to heat the house than the 29-year-old current one.
It's a very good feeling to know that I could say to the salesman 'unless you operate 0% finance, I won't be availing myself of that option'.“And all shall be well. And all shall be well. And all manner of things shall be exceeding well.”

Domayne, we are also paid 'before the 25th day of the month' which usually means just before midnight on the day. This month, I'va already been paid, a nice surprise.
Regarding odd numbers, I can't keep up with that because the interest is always adding odd numbers. What stresses me is transferring an odd number with pence from my current account to my savings, just hate that!“And all shall be well. And all shall be well. And all manner of things shall be exceeding well.”

I'm the total opposite - I make sure my current account has a round balance every night and transfer 'odd amounts' to my savings all the time to make sure it stays that way! Direct debit for £26.45 out? That's £3.55 over to savings then, to keep my current account ending in a 5 or a 0! Obsessive? Sure. But every little bit over to savings counts!
Actually as it happens nearly all my accounts are at a round figure - TSB at a round £2k, FD Regular at a round £1,200, etc to maximise interest. Only my BoS (current filler-upper vehicle) is at an odd-pence amount. And of course my coin jar, which I have no idea how much is in and am trying REALLY hard not to bank till its full.#145 Save £12k in 2016 Challenge: £12,062.62/£12,000.00 Beginning Balance: £5,027.78 CHALLENGE MET
