Payday at last
I'm surprised I managed to hit my target for the month as it hasn't exactly been an MSE one. Declaring £572.13 for March which brings my overall total to £1876.15. :j

Hello everyone,
I am a long-term lurker and looking to get more actively involved. Thank you all for your inspiration, the things people achieve on these forums is amazing! :T
We have been saving a relatively small amount for a number of years towards a deposit for our first home. Two years ago we got the chance to move with my work so we are currently in Europe, which is why my savings figures are in euros (though some of our savings is still in sterling). The new job was quite a lot better paid and my DH has also been able to find work out here so between us, we have been able to save larger amounts. We are probably going to relocate back to England at some stage and buy a house there but in the meantime we are saving as much as we possibly can! I have set a target of €30000 for this year and have a good start to the year so far. I hope I will be welcome to gatecrash the board this far into the year. :rotfl:0 -
I am emptying my savings account into the S&S ISA allowance end of this month. !!!!!! me. I have to start from scratch to fill up all my series of current accounts again.

Finally updating for February.
After my successful January, saving more than I expected (£1500), February has been a bit of a bust.
I only managed £200, after the cost of new glasses and only working a couple of weeks its smaller than I wanted, but still in the right direction. Feels a bit demoralising after the big Jan number, but need to keep pushing forward.
I wanted to average £800 a month so I'm still doing that.
March is looking likely to be low as wellbecause although I've had more work than expected some other bills have come up so I'm not sure exactly how much of that I can save.
This is always the quieter part of my year when freelancing, so I'm still up on the last few years to what I would save, just want to see the numbers move up quicker. Patience is a virtue though, and the end of my year should be much more successful.Save £12K in 2019 #: £0.00 / £10,000 (0%)

Nice. Whereabouts are you working? Cost of living will probably be lower compared to over here on the isle. You will probably be saving a higher percentage of your pay.
