Hi all
I didn't declare for January as it was a bit complicated with the way my paydates landed over Xmas so I'm declaring £2592 for February which is great.
I've spent 2016 setting up my own business and have my first clients coming on board which is really exciting and I hope means I can exceed my savings goal quite comfortably. However, I really want to buy a Macbook Pro which isn't really in keeping with the theme of this topic so I'm wondering whether I should duck out :-)
Anyway, a good start. As last year - I find Feb - June great for saving then I seem to struggle from then on!0 -
Bit of a rocky month this month but still pleased that I managed to save £521.06 for February. Shuffled my money about a bit so hopefully will be better over the coming months. This brings my total to £1304.02 / £6600 for the year so far.:www:House Deposit £10,539.47 / £12,500:www:0

£500 out this month to pay for skiing holiday end of Feb. (so excited!)
Will have to check balance, and see how much I can transfer over to Nationwide RS. I might be able to stretch to the full £500, if not it'll be nearer £400 or something..
I have just transferred £500 to my Nationwide RS account. So this months total is £700 again. Woop!
I need to re-think my strategy, because each month my salary is paid into my TSB Classic account. Of which £200 goes to HTB ISA and £500 goes to nationwide RS each month. So i havent actually been treating my TSB account as savings, mainly because the balance keeps changing as I use it as my active/spending account.
My TSB balance is currently below the £2k mark, but Ive kept the Nationwide flex balance to the max, as well as paying max monthly into htb and RS accounts. I recently cancelled my work's sharesave plan (share price has gone down below my option price so I dont believe its worth it anymore), so I will be receiving a cheque for approx £1,200 next week! That will tip my tsb balance over the £2k mark which i should be able to maintain, which means I'll need to start thinking about squirrelling some money either into a TSB RS or put some more into the old S&S ISA.
So yeah, declaring £700 again for this month!"If you aren’t willing to own a stock for ten years, don’t even think about owning it for ten minutes” Warren Buffett
