Save 12K in 2020 # 38 £0/£20,0000 -
Final figures for this year. Although i have not met my £5k target, i have managed to save £4400. Have had a great year and spent lots on making memories so no regrets! Thought I might add - even though i have kept my house deposit savings separate from this challenge (set amounts and joint with partner) we managed to save £12k between us in 2016 and due to not finding anywhere yet we have surpassed our £25k target! Never thought we would have saved so much when we started! Hopefully 2017 will be our year to finally become homeowners
See you all in 2017!!

It feels funny being "back to normal" and budgets and savings after the excesses of Christmas!
I'm declaring £1500 for December, so I've exceeded my target by a grand. Two grand really as I have another undeclared £1000 which I will be spending next year towards a holiday.
I'd set a target of £13,000, but was hoping for £15,000, so I'm chuffed especially since I had to fork out for a new washing machine and tree surgery which was nearly £1000.
Good luck everyone for 2017, I look forward to seeing you all on the new board! Thanks as ever to Slowlyfading for running this.
May everyone have a happy and PROSPEROUS new year!:)

Final update fir me of £476.47 - bringing me exactly to my £6k target!!
So pleased as we've moved house and had several birthdays (and Christmas!) in the last two months. Without this thread I would never have saved £6k for two years in a row - thank you so much slowlyfading.
Deciding whether to up the target for next year. Mortgage has gone up but so has my salary so maybe I should push myself a bit further.[STRIKE]Total debt 1.11.10 £23,446[/STRIKE]Save £6k in 2015 #129 £6121.66/£6000Save £6k in 2016 #39 £6000/£60000 -

I noticed 42 'savers' registered for the 2016 thread but have never submitted any savings.
It's "The Answer".Be who you are and say what you feel because those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind.
