Amendment submitted for another £600.
Not bad considering I haven't worked since September and don't intend to ever again.
Off to The Boat Show in January, with a new future in mind.
Time to make use of some of these savings.

Declaring £860 for November,
TSB - £207
HTB ISA - £200
Sharesave - £223
Saving Stream P2P - £230
Submitting to spreadsheet now.
This will take me £10,000 for the year, will see if I can somehow save a miraculous £2,000 in December to reach the £12k target. Fat chance of that with X-Mas! :rotfl:
Just booked a skiing holiday, December's figure won't be anything special. Ah well."If you aren’t willing to own a stock for ten years, don’t even think about owning it for ten minutes” Warren Buffett

Good morning,
I've just been paid so I can declare an increase on last month's savings. A total of £550.00.
£200 into my HTB and £350 into my FD Saver. Happy days.
My target isn't really for the end of 2016, as I started a few months ago. My target is really for summer of next year when I look to buy my first property. Can't wait.0 -
Spreadsheet updated
We're nearly there everyone! Looking forward to seeing the final totals coming in over the next couple of weeksBe who you are and say what you feel because those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind.

Definitely not.
I e njoy participating in the forum; taking advice from others and offering my own experience (for what it's worth).
Off to the Boat Show in January to kick off the next stage of my ten-year plan.
Muwahahaha! (Insert own evil laugh here, if closer to Vincent Price's)

I reached my target in August/September of this year but finances all turned upside down in November after OH retired with a nice lump sum at 58 so our cash/investments figure has more than doubled and we now have a nice nest egg to cushion us until spa in 8 years time. I retire in one years time and we will be selling a second property next year so will have another buffer.
Just checked our bank account and I have been paid early for Christmas and OHs pension has also been paid early with a nice bonus of more than £1k which I am assuming is repaid tax as company car went back in October and he was due some backtax. Hopefully we will know what his regular pension will be by February but so far he has not had the same amount twice due to tax changes.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Debt free Wannabe, Budgeting and Banking and Savings and Investment boards. My last standing order has just gone out for December, I am declaring £1900 for December, which brings my total saved this year to £16550.
This included my last payment for a matured Nationwide Regular saver. SO...
Total saved has smashed target, I have spent 5k already paying of a expiring money transfer on a few credit cards that I used last Christmas, borrowed at 0% and 1.2% fee and I have managed to put it into 5% regular saver, made some interest on the money, (eventually as I was one of those who didnt get interest on account at maturity)
I am quite happy with my total, Im not sure if I will manage 12k next year as I have four maturing balance transfers next year but lets see, I find as I pay back one offer, a few months later I get another offer to use, so I maybe able to 'snooze' for a little longer, not that there is many places to put it as of next year, with the rewards and interest payments dropping.
Still trying to work out if I should keep or close my Leeds Regular Saver when the rate drops...
Ill give to thought...
Thanks SF for running this thread, I appreciate the support and guidance from this thread and look forward to next years challenge.
Happy christmas to all, I'm sure I will be online, but just in case, have a fantastic day, whatever you have planned, with those family members we love, or that special person/furry friend in your life, and not forgetting spending the day with your friends, if thats what you do....
Festive wishes and hugs from me
