haah sooooo true!
the more you get / make the more you want...
I do remember, before I started saving, I did not bother much.
I lived my life to full extend, did not worry much ...
but when I started, now every time me or my wife spends money;
it sticks in my head ... could have saved sooo much , could have saved this much .. lol

That's a sad attitude, imho.
I save lots and I think I live life to the full. In fact, since I rejected mindless consumerism in my mid-20s, I think I've lived life more fully than I did before. It's all about prioritising spending on what I love.Get to 119lbs! 1/2/09: 135.6lbs 1/5/11: 145.8lbs 30/3/13 150lbs 22/2/14 137lbs 2/6/14 128lbs 29/8/14 124lbs 2/6/17 126lbs

@TARA
it is all how you see it
you see things differently, we all do.
Surely, still do what I like to do .. but not doing some silly stuff like I did before.
Bottom line, before I DID NOT CARE ABOUT TOMORROW whereas nowadays I think about it wisely.
Anyway, whatever floats your boat Tara0 -
Spreadsheet updated - phew! Sorry for the delay; life has been pretty crazy around here lately.
There are some fantastic numbers that people are saving - well done everyoneI wish I could say the same
Now, if everyone could just donate me £5 for running the thread I'd be nearer to where I should be.....
*only slightly kidding*
Just joking.... :rotfl:Be who you are and say what you feel because those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind.

Ha ha ha, funny indeed. Working for Megacorp has some good perks if you're willing to stick to it for a while, and show good work ethic.
Worked for me - I have been/am lucky and feel blessed. Trust me it has not always been that way - when I started working 10 years ago, my base salary was exactly on average national salary.Total Debt

Fantastic work as always everyone. All doing so well!
I don't think I declared last month, so declaring two months in one go; total for the year now stands at 47.59% after 5 months. Very happy with that and puts me ahead of my target.
5-week month to survive now.0
