" HOW MUCH ADVANCE NOTICE DO I HAVE TO PROVIDE?
Advance Notice must be provided to the payer before any collections are taken from an account and the length of the Direct Debit notice depends on what has been agreed with the sponsoring bank. If you are unsure what time period your organisation has, you can check the information contained within your Direct Debit Guarantee as it has to state this time period.
Typically, the default period (the time allowed for receipt of the Advance Notice by the payer) is a minimum of 10 working days plus postal time. If your organisation has not requested anything different to this you will typically be required to give 10 days’ Direct Debit notice. It is possible, however, to request a shorter time period from the bank – for example, 3 working days. If this was agreed, your Direct Debit Guarantee should reflect this and you would be required to provide Advance Notice of 3 working days plus postal time"

Unfortunately, Avro is not typical. I was advised on the Saturday of the new DD payment due on the following Thursday. So that's only 3 clear working-days' notice. The up-side to this is that they shouldn't need much notice of a request to reduce the DD.

Yet another Avro tweak today.
Super12m gone replaced with Saver12m very slight increase.0 -
My renewals with AVRO say:"Direct Debit PSL re Avro Energy Ltd will notify you 5 working days in advance of your account being debited or as otherwise agreed."And, in my experience they've kept to that.DDs seem to be governed by a "light touch" - but how many have themselves been seriously compromised by DD abuse?

I just used MSE's site for a new quote.
I just got a quote with Avro showing one set of tariffs. When I was directed to Avro's site the
Gas tariff was significantly higher than quoted on your MSE site:
Gas tariff for Avro on your site: 2.62p / kwh
Gas tariff on actual Avro site: 2.935p / kwh
The electricity tariffs wre different too
Please see attached screenshots.
What is going on here please?

Super12M was introduced on 16th March and exited yesterday.
A three week period.
Saver12M brought in yesterday, we`ll see how long this one lasts.
Avro only offer one tariff now to existing customers at renewal.
Has anyone who are well into their current tariff but not due for renewal, tried the renewal link to see what they get offered?0 -

I suspect recent chaotic weather conditions have thrown their demand predictions into similar chaos.
