" I know i am going to have trouble getting my refund of approx £70 that they will owe me"

These are the links that I quoted earlier in this thread which could be helpful if there is no positive reaction from Avro

There`s always the "small claims court" or as it`s now called.

And here is another one from the thread https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/6255556/energy-ombudsman-questions#latest   I opened earlier today relating to when you can contact the Energy Ombudsman.

I'm sure that like most energy companies. Avro are easy enough to deal with if there are no complications arising.  However a formal letter of complaint is about to wing its way to Avro because there are complications (missing MTD's leading to unvalidated reads leading to no statements) being caused somewhere in the system for what should be a straightforward switch.  It is the only avenue open to my sanity it seems.  Circa 2 months in to my 'complications' since switching from Scottish Power and I've resigned myself that it will be at least another 2 months before my account with them is sorted out.

An advantage of using the Resolver route is that they will forward your file to the ombudsman at your request. Another is you will have a record of the complaint. The 8-week clock starts counting from the date you first raised the issue with the supplier.

Quite simply my advise is STAY AWAY from this truly appalling company. Can someone please explain why a large energy company is refusing to speak to customers via phone, has no live chat functioning and does not reply to very important enquiries for many days. How does Avro still have a license to trade, the company we have changed to answer phones and and are super efficient and are also internet only.
We horrifically inherited this company when we moved house, the day we moved in we informed them we would be changing, initially tried to block our move and the only way we could leave was to set up a direct debit,we have managed to change to another supplier however Avro have still not sent a final statement and are about to take her more money. When we log in no mention of us leaving although they are fully aware, will be stopping direct debit, making a further complaint and then contacting Ombudsman.
I personally think it is time that this company answered as to why it has zero customer support and also why the majority of its good reviews on trust pilot are invited.Other companies  are managing fine so they can’t blame Covid
I strongly urge money supermarket to please not recommend this company however cheap they may be as the stress they are causing its customers is awful .WORST ENERGY COMPANY I HAVE EVER HAD THE MISFORTUNE TO DEAL WITH

I don,t think i will sign up to twatter just so i could speak to an energy company.
I think it is disgraceful behaviour to treat customers the way they are.
Personally i think they are maybe in trouble, hence the abrupt nose dive in there customer service.
Some of this rings true :s

Well, it's clear that Avro is not for everyone. But those who have got used to its quirky little ways have done well out it; me included. Or, perhaps, we've just been lucky.

No matter which energy company you put into Trustpilot you get "avoid this terrible company at all cost",
"worst company I have ever dealt with", "customer service non existent" etc., etc.
