Avro Energy reviews: Give your feedback

Orbit showing a decent saving for me too (around £150 a year) and their electric unit price looks very reasonable but after reading a few reviews on here they 'appear' to lure new customers in with cheap rates and then hike them up a few months later.
I did actually get the 'call back' from Neo but didn't like the way the agent was talking, just didn't sound right if you know what I mean, could be wrong but my instincts haven't failed me yet so Neo, no thanks.
I think I'll stick with Avro for now and hope they offer a more competitive tariff in the summer which based on how often Avro release new tariffs I stand a good chance of bagging a decent one.
Still mulling over separate suppliers with me being a high user but don't like Symbio, Neon reef not competitive enough yet?? and Zog I'd definitely be paying more, just gotta keep looking around and playing the game I guess.0 -
I'd be interested to know what conclusions you come to. Have you looked at how Outfox and Avro compare?
At present my money is on Octopus Tracker but I haven't yet made a final decision.Telegraph Sam

I found OTFM diabolical and Avro very good.0

OFTM are on my avoid list too, I accept people have very different experiences with energy companies but I just 'try' and avoid the ones that look like they will be hard work to deal with. Avro have been decent for me up to now and although not the cheapest (Oh how I miss the 'Simple and Superfixed' tariff) they have been good to deal with.0

People Energy has a £60 exit fee which rules them out for me. Outfox has 4 stars rating for what it;'s worth as has Avro but I take your observations into account. The idea with Tracker is - in theory - that you jump on board if and when / before the prices go down in summer but back onto something fixed in the autumn. Getting a Tracker quote is not so straightforward but the following link might work for anyone that's interested

This is forecasting a drop in prices as I understand it.Telegraph Sam

It will not have escaped your notice that it looks like the cost of an electrical kWh has fallen by around 28.5% (> 10.64 p!!) in the last few days (such a large drop makes me wonder if there has been a mistake). If correct then the Tracker option, as long as it lasts, means that I can forget about Orbit & co and even Avro in coming to my switch decision.Telegraph Sam

It has escaped my notice but, in the greater scheme of things, a blip in wholesale energy prices should not be taken too seriously. When it comes to prices from suppliers, it's the longer trend which may ultimately feed through to prices. We don't know, for example, what the effects of the current Suez blockage is going to have on all sorts of prices. Then there's Ofgem's latest move to limit the credit balances held by energy suppliers which will affect many of the smaller suppliers' working capital.
Warning: In the kingdom of the blind, the one-eyed man is king.

The 10.64 p refers to the retail price actually but no matter. I have been taking an average in order to put the blips in perspective.Telegraph Sam
