Don't believe a word they say!.I was in the same position on the 5th march,When i went online it would say unconfirmed serial number. But on the 6th of march the serial number appeared correctly with an electricity reading that was 25 units out from my opening read. Then on the 7th march i no longer had access to the meter readings, neither gas or electric and i just get a white screen saying53 days since they became my supplier and initiated a switch away and they have still not fixed it
"An unexpected error has occurred."
They have not got a clue what they are doing

!) Every time I check Chat line is unavailable (for weeks now).
2) Email response has got slower since I signed up and seemingly unresponsive since the last email I sent to them 15th March....
3) No trace of Avro on social media such as Twitter/Facebook seemingly. I cannot be sure of this so perhaps those who do use these can confirm (or not) as the case may be.
4) Telephone contact is only for emergencies only??
Has anyone received personalised communications from Avro this week? And if so by what medium?
Not quite within the week, but I had a detailed email from them on the 16th, when I told them I wanted to terminate my supply.0 -

Took them 10 days to generate final bill (they owed us £150+) and I’m still waiting for this to be refunded to me 2 weeks later. Very quick to increase monthly payment if your account goes into debit (payment went up by 60%) but very slow to refund. Also impossible to speak to anyone and email response 3-4 days. AVOID.
I'm not in as much credit as you, probably about £50, but my DD is due on the 3rd and I would prefer they didn't take another.0 -
A company I`ve never heard of is now coming up a lot cheaper than Avro Super12M on CAB, MSE cheap energy and Which/Switch.
(£40 a year saving in my case)
Orbit energy Spring Vari-Save Extra tariff with no exit fees.
My only doubt, it being variable and come Oct they`ll whack the prices up.

I can report the same for my circumstances. Orbit are very competitive. However it is not fair to compare flexi tariffs with fixed.
In the flexi market they are also competing with Octopus Tracker which does not feature in most search engines rankings.but seems to be at or near the top at present. (I wouldn't expect any exit fee from any variable tariff).
And I would also be concerned about switching to a newbie without any reported service track record / customer ratings.Telegraph Sam

They supply electricity and gas to homeowners and small businesses throughout Great Britain. The company is a joint venture of Australian-based Energy Global Investments and US-based Genie Energy

Just looking quickly at the first few - correction: not just the first few - of the Trustpilot reviews is enough to make me want to pay the extra and look elsewhere! (same as with Neo Energy)
Come back Avro all is forgiven.Telegraph Sam

I'm not really into Twitter so cannot properly judge what to make of their correspondence. I'm guessing that Avro are like several others who seem to have abandoned emails in favour of Tweets. Same old story: how much extra should the consumer be prepared to pay in order to get an acceptable level of customer service?Telegraph Sam

Hardly surprising that Orbit are right at the bottom of the Citizens Advice customer service ratings.0
