Telegraph_Sam said:I'm not aware of any "obligation" on any consumer to build up and maintain a (large) credit balance in anticipation of what may or may not be future expenditure. Granted that the supplier has a case for preventing excessive debits from building up, the consumer has equal rights as far as credits are concerned. Am I missing something?

They are now accepting one-off payments online by card. They've been advertising and promising this facility for as long as they have been suppliers..I wonder if the worry about rising bad debt due to covid has prompted this reaction. In any event its about time, if you ask me.Warning: In the kingdom of the blind, the one-eyed man is king.

As an experiment, you could try adding ".0" to the readings you submit and see what happens.Warning: In the kingdom of the blind, the one-eyed man is king.

I sometimes get this sort of problem on some websites due to Firefox add-on NoScript blocking some new scripts.
