    Found this on the Vista Print website;

What does the billing code “VPREWARDS.COM” mean?
This is the monthly membership fee for VistaPrint Rewards. Read more at the VistaPrint Rewards section of this page.

    What is VistaPrint Rewards?
VistaPrint Rewards is a membership rewards program that offers members savings on shopping, entertainment, dining out, movies and travel. Membership is free for the first 30 days, and then a membership fee of £9.95 per month, payable by credit card, applies.

How does a customer join VistaPrint Rewards?
You are eligible to join VistaPrint Rewards when you successfully complete a VistaPrint order. After completing a VistaPrint order, customers may be presented with an offer page offering the opportunity to take advantage of a £10 VistaPrint cash back offer for joining the VistaPrint Rewards Program. This offer page contains details about the VistaPrint Rewards Program including offer benefits, services and the associated monthly fee required to participate. If a customer chooses to accept this offer the credit card used for the customer’s VistaPrint purchase will be automatically charged the applicable monthly fees after a 30 day free-trial period, and VistaPrint will transfer certain personal information, including the customer’s credit card information, to a service provider that administers the program. As part of the registration process for the program, a customer is required to enter his or her email address twice, and click the “YES” button stating that the customer agrees with the following statement:

“By clicking “Yes” I have read and agree to the Offer Details displayed to the left and authorise VistaPrint to securely transfer my name, address and credit card information to the service provider for VistaPrint Rewards.”

Following acceptance of the offer, the customer’s information is then transferred to the service provider for the program via a secure encrypted link. Customers are then sent a confirmation email which confirms enrollment, a subsequent email activating the customer’s VistaPrint Rewards Account, and a reminder email at the end of the 30 day free-trial period. These three emails are sent to the email address the customer entered in the registration step.

How do I cancel my membership?
Please call free phone at 0845 0261100 and speak to a VistaPrint Rewards member representative to cancel your membership.

You can also request cancellation of your membership online by clicking here

    How do I claim the £10.00 cash-back?
After joining VistaPrint Rewards you received an email with your unique membership ID number as well as instructions on how to immediately start taking advantage of member benefits. Instructions on claiming the £10 cash back award was contained in that email. If you have further questions please contact 0845 0261100

I too chose interflora. (A well known name, one that I can rely upon) On finishing my order, I was asked if I wanted to save £10 off my next online order. I never bothered, thinking that it would take up too much of my precious time filling in the online questions.

Come the end of August, I again reached for the computer, as it was my sister's birthday. I ordered another bunch of flowers, and wished that I had taken up the £10 off offer. Again, after my order was complete, I was asked if, as a loyalty bonus, I wanted to save £10 off of my next online order of flowers. All I had to do WAS PRESS THIS BUTTON. So I did. Because I trust(ed) Interflora.

On Saturday (mid-Sept) I checked my online bank statement and noticed an £8 direct debit entry made out to 'Shopdisc.co.uk'. Wondering whether my darling children had somehow found my card & ordered a game, I checked to see what 'shop-disc' was. To my horror, I found a complaints site with numerous people explaining that they had been duped into a 12 month contract with 'shop-disc'. Every month £8 goes out of their bank. (That is £96 per year)

Interflora, bless their cotton socks!! Thought that it would be a nice idea to exploit nice people like me (AND YOU) who order flowers to show that they care. I did receive an email sort of explaining what I am signed up for, but, along with the Viagra adverts, it went into my junk mail.

I am now stuck into this 'legal' contract (yes I have checked with my bank)

All I can do is warn others:mad:

I just find it strange how so many MSE'ers are getting caught out with this.....

It is not strange at all. It is because MSE'ers are wonderful people who, as a result of their new-found financial skills, now have some extra money available for nice things, such as flowers for their loved ones.

Unfortunately, I cannot be so complimentary about Interflora, or the (as it should evidently now be called) disloyalty company involved.
The acquisition of wealth is no longer the driving force in my life. :)

Does anyone else find it somewhat amusing to find that WebLoyalty already has a form letter for this sort of situation? More so since they didn't even personalise it for this forum (mention of bloggers, the "we would like to speak with you directly"... bit.)

To the others replying directly to the post - I don't expect they'll respond publicly on any of these boards. Admitting their methods are highly suspect is not something, I suspect, they'll do.

Your Bank are not the people to be advising you about whether a contract is legal or not, there's lots more you can do, I know I wouldn't give up if it had happened to me.

I would contact your local Trading Standards and/or Citizens Advice Bureau, they will help you to compose a complaint letter to claim back your money. Based on the posts here it seems they are well aware of this problem so Trading Standards may well have heard about it already. Even if they haven't dealt with this one before then they or the CAB can still help you I am sure. What is there to lose?

I know I won't be ordering with Interflora now, this is the sort of thing that ends up being reported on Watchdog.......by someone;) ......several of you:cool: .....good luck all in reclaiming your money.

    Too true!
Inform trading standards, go to the BBC Watchdog site and send them a little resume of what you have experienced and then when, hopefully, enough 'bloggers' as Shoppers_Discount describe us (do you think they are based in the US?) they may come onto the MSE forum and tell us what the game is. Oh, and Interflora if they are also monitoring these postings.

That's a start, kazbah.....is the 'refund of the membership fee' the full amount you have paid each month though? If not then definitely pursue it and how about asking for an apology from them too.

Also the reply looks like a standard response which is enough to get anyone's back up under the circumstances. You have composed a strong complaint email and that's all they can be bothered to respond with....:p

You never know if we keep these postings near to the top of this thread, Shoppers Discount & Interflora might, I said might, issue an apology here.

But being an old cynic, I would not my breath whilst waiting!
