I haven't had this happen, but then haven't ordered from Interflora for a while. After hearing this, I will not be doing so again.

Ditto from me... what a bunch of con men!

    Thanks for the warning OP!!

Anyone writing to the marketing director at Interflora should mention this thread and how lots of people will now not buy from them because of this!

  • Just checked my current account and a recurring visa transaction has been debited for £8 to Shopdisc.co.uk.......and I've never used Interflora, ever!!!! Been on to Shopper rewards website and I know that I've never ever visited it, heard of it before let alone joined its scheme. I'm raging at this as My card has now been stopped pending issue of a replacement + a new pin and I've got to obtain a Visa dispute Form to get my back. This sort of thing should be illegal...why am I the one who's now inconvenienced?
  • I have had the same thing happen to me too, twice with £8 being debited from shopdisc.co.uk in August and September after buying flowers from Interflora online in July.

I have just looked at their website http://www.shopperdiscountsandrewards.co.uk/ and you can cancel your membership online, click the contact us link and there is a link to cancel. Once you have done this, you are able to get a refund on the last payment taken, unfortunately for me it has happened twice so can only claim one back! But atleast it is something.

Hope this info helps some of you too.

guys - I'm glad we weren't the only ones caught out by this (to my mind) scam. Not because others have lost money, but it proves that the subscription was NOT clearly shown and the therefore the chance to opt out was not readily accessible. Thanks to all who've shared their experiences also.

I just hope that, having publicised this, it helps keep potential users of Interflora and any other internet shop aware and therefore not scammed in future.

Don't just stop at getting a refund guys, report to trading standards and if you can find out how you "signed up for this" then complain to them too... think how many people must get caught out with this and these w@**ers are getting rich from conning people!

Im still not sure where the box is supposed to be when you send flowers, thankfully I havent ticked anything (I onnly know that as I asked interflora to check) but obviously it is not clear and is quite clearly unacceptable.

    @ Shopper_Discount...

You have posted the same post on three threads. All three threads state how people feel that they have been ripped off by you some how signing them up to something that they did not want or request.

Can you please state in this open forum why so many people feel ripped off by your practices.... I just find it strange how so many MSE'ers are getting caught out with this.....

Hear hear!! Come on Shoppers_Discount if you have nothing thing to hide, post your response here in the open instead of trying to push it under the carpet by suggesting unhappy 'subscribers' call you directly.

it gets worse i am £140 down vista print have done the same to me but they sign you up to two companys vprewards and clubprem they take £9.95 a month each both have been taking money from my card since i ordered cards from vista print in march i have contacted tescos...

I think there might be a thread about this on MSE - it's something that caught me out about a year ago. I got some 'free' business cards off Vista's website. I totally missed the tick box relating to vprewards and was furious when I spotted the 1st months charge. I contacted vprewards who refunded the charge (they didn't seem surprised with my response btw!) - try them, but search for other posts first cos mine was only a months worth of refund. Good luck.
