  • Perserverance DOES pay off. I've just had another email from Virgin stating that as the order I made included these handsfree headsets, they WILL now forward these on my producing mobile numbers, phone model etc, etc. Anyone else who hasn't got these....stick with the complaint.

Sorry to hear that. I placed an order last night for a friend, it was a bit sticky and I had to have 2 goes at it but the order did go through.

Do you have a slow connection? It did take a while on mine last night - but did eventually go through. Perhaps VISA - or whoever - were taking their time authorising your card, or perhaps Virgin's site was overloaded? Are you able to try it on a different computer perhaps? Good luck!

I had the same problem with the site so at the end I called them and placed the order at £26.99. I asked for a Saturday delivery as it will be a present for my wife's birthday. I hope she will like it and use it.

This was another great link on Martin's site.
Thanks very much to the originator. GREAT WORK!!!!!!!!!!!!

EDIT: PLEASE DISREGARD THE FOLLOWING - WORKING FINE AT 19.27pm 19/05/05!

Just checked it for you just now (2.15pm 19/05/05) and although the site is letting me through to checkout (perhaps high volume earlier? Or perhaps your connection is timing out?) the basket is not showing the deal correctly. The previous screen however is showing the offer as follows:

    NOKIA 1100

    MORE DETAILS
Get 10% off with this phone, plus £25 free airtime.

    WAS £29.99
    OFFER PRICE
    £26.99
    BUY

    - So if I were you I would telephone through your order to the number shown on my original posting - however, this will mean that you would forgoe your cashback - but should still secure you the deal!

Perhaps they are on to us and in the process of withdrawing the offer? Or at least curious about the sudden excessive interest?

I will check the website again tonight in case it is a temporary glitch.

Let us know how you get on!

Thank you - it is very nice to be appreciated!

I have had 19 Thanks on my Original post now - & over 3000 viewings - I am pretty chuffed!!

I hope your wife likes her new phone, I love mine - & because it was so cheap I don't have to worry about insuring it - it would be cheaper to buy a spare one than fork out for the insurance policy!!

Thank you also to everyone who has sent me nice PMs!

ordered the nokia 3200 for 44.99, which i also thought was a good deal , works out at about 20.00 (i hope). plus 20 for the airtime.
now i just need some help to unlock the phone, as i have never attempted this before.
and i havent a clue as to where or how to start.
    wish me good luck

Ive got another tip to add to this :)
Although its maore luck than anything i guess, but it worked for me :D

The lifestyle rewards is an online offer, but if you phone and say the website isnt working for you (which is frequently the truth) then you are transfered to the internet team who process your order over the fone.
however, the internet team finish at 9pm. If you fone after this time your call is dealt with by the regular sales team (be it skeleton night staff).

Now if you purchase a fone via the regular website (not lifestyle rewards) and you already have a virgin mobile sim card registered in your name then you get £10 off the price of any handset if you dont take the new sim card.

This £10 off cannot be used with lifestyle rewards and the internet team are well aware of this, however the sales team after 9pm are not it would seem, resulting in the following deal i got (I have the invoice here to proove it :) )

    2 x Nokia 1100
    2 x £20 Voucher

    Total price £33.98

Thats less than £17 for a brand new Nokia 1100 with a £20 voucher. (that incidentally sells on ebay for around £18) LOL

But wait theres more... when my fones arrived the next day via courier, I opened the boxes and lo and behold, there were 2 x virgin sim packs in there too!

A good days shopping if i may say so myself :)

Worth a try anyway, nothing to loose.

    Good Luck.
