Oh I had forgotten about my cashback for paying with my credit card - mind you I think mine is only 0.5% with Nationwide so not quite as good as yours! Wow, 69p, I have paid more for a Sunday paper!!

I like the phone too. I have the clockface screensaver on it at the moment which also shows the day and date and I think it looks pretty good, if a bit retro for some people's tastes. It is nice and lightweight too and the battery life is excellent.

Yep it's cool - 69p would be incredibly cheap for a rechargeable torch by itself!! The one criticism I have of the phone is that if you remove the battery (which you have to do to remove the SIM) - you lose the time and date settings. This doesn't happen with my (very!) old Nokia 6210. I wonder if someone else could confirm this to make sure that my unit is ok. Thanks!

Yes that happens to mine too - looks like you will be on the lookout for a cheap watch as well then?!

- Or perhaps just buy a 2nd phone to use with your other SIM?

• Got my two phones yesterday....well chuffed. Emailed Virgin this morning to ask why I hadn't received the free handsfree headsets, got a lengthy email reply about phasing out mono headsets, and perhaps you'd like to buy a bluetooth?
Don't think so! I have emailed back asking if they intend to place themselves in breach of contract by failing to supply the full order as specified on their website. I can't wait to see what they say in response this time.
More as and when it happens.
I haven't been asked to tell you that I'm the Board Drunk for this board. As the night wears on, my posts will become worse, with simple spelling mistakes, inane ramblings, and a blatant disregard for the truth. I have no authority to do anything, so there's no point asking or telling me. If you see me past midnight, please tell me to get my coat and order me a taxi.

Yes they offered me a mono set for £6.80 too - before caving! I am still waiting for the ones they promised to send me - but I cannot see that they have a leg to stand on.

I'm glad the PM I have been sending out helped you, did you quote the site link to their T&Cs in your email? I would also recommend printing it out just in case it "suddenly disappears" from their website because they will be bound by their T&Cs that were in place when you ordered.

Hi

try http://www.virginmobile.com/mobile/mid/lifestylerewards/index.jsp
If you want to go through Rpoints then go to the Virgin mobile link and when it takes you to the virgin website in the web address change /mobile to /lifestylerewards that should do it.

EDIT: PLEASE DISREGARD THE FOLLOWING - WORKING FINE AT 19.27pm 19/05/05!

Just checked it for you just now (2.15pm 19/05/05) and although the site is letting me through to checkout (perhaps high volume earlier? Or perhaps your connection is timing out?) the basket is not showing the deal correctly. The previous screen however is showing the offer as follows:

NOKIA 1100

MORE DETAILS
Get 10% off with this phone, plus £25 free airtime.

WAS £29.99
OFFER PRICE
£26.99
BUY

- So if I were you I would telephone through your order to the number shown on my original posting - however, this will mean that you would forgoe your cashback - but should still secure you the deal!

Perhaps they are on to us and in the process of withdrawing the offer? Or at least curious about the sudden excessive interest?

I will check the website again tonight in case it is a temporary glitch.

Let us know how you get on!
