It can happen but it's unlikely and nothing to do with the imagined friend zone or "manning up", phrases which are unehlpful and put pressure on men to live up to outdated gender stereotypes and women to accept advances just because a man has been friednly or kind.
Sometimes...you just don't fancy a person.
Ahh! Your detective skills have been rewarded. I did wonder if the OP has a wife somewhere but maybe we are being presumptuous and his family is children and grandchildren. :A
I don't think so, because in his post he says 'if I'd have been single' so presumably there is a wife or partner in the background.
Sexual fantasies are normal, and healthy, even when married, but I think he's taking this a bit too far, especially saying he's ''in love'' with this woman.Everyone you meet may be fighting a battle you know nothing about.
Be kind!

Although the OP says this woman is single, from this post of his, it looks like he isn't!
You may be reading too much into that. He may well have been in a relationship but isn't any more.. . .I did not speak out
Then they came for me
And there was no one left
To speak out for me..

That sentence is not written in the present tense.
I'm not convinced that the OP has been lying on this thread by saying he is single.
However, I woudn't be at all surprised if he doesn't come back to the thread after being 'outed' (or not as the case may be).0 -
I don't want to put ideas into the OP's head but my cousin (35) is actually married to someone 30 years older than her :rotfl:
It did ruffle a few feathers among the family, but they seem happy.left the forum due to trolling/other nonsense

When my dad was in his 50s, he married a woman in her 20s. There were some mutterings from family, but it didn't bother me.
They did end up divorcing though.0 -
I heard one case where a father married his daughter's best friend...This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0
