Given the age difference - which some posters have pointed out is likely to be a significant number of years - do you think she would be open to possibly taking the relationship further?

You have to determine if she's just being friendly with you or is possibly interested in you romantically.

If you ask, she may be horrified and you could lose her friendship.

But - please do delete the photos.
Enough posters have told you it's creepy.
    And it is.

She's definitely just being a friend, that's why I'd never suggest anything to her in a romantic way, as you say, that could lose her friendship which is the most important thing to me.
    It's someone else's fault.

If you do get a date, don't mention the pictures.

Delete the pictures, don't try anything, move on, get over it, take steps to meet a woman closer to your own age if you want a relationship.

I'm about the same age as this woman, and when men of your age (which is a fair few years older than my dad) are nice to me and help me out with stuff its generally being done in a fatherly, kindly, looking out for me kind of way not a creepy want-to-get-in-my-pants sort of way. The first is nice and much appreciated, the second is definitely not.

I bet she'd feel massively awkward and creeped out if she found out how you were obsessing and perving over her and it would really effect her ability to enjoy the club you both go to.

There are many wonderful women in their fifties and sixties who are looking for a partner, go out and meet some of them, they might not look like a 30 year old but then I bet you don't either!

You're in the friend zone OP. Nothing you can do about it because you left it too late. If you did say something you'd come across as creepy.

Next time, man up and ask her out for a drink on the spot.

Just think, if you'd done that you could now be in a relationship with her or if she'd said no, you would know exactly where you stand and you could have moved on.

Remember, next time be an alpha male. Ask her out, if she says no all you have to do is say

'' If you change your mind, let me know'' Then NEVER ask again.
  • First step, DELETE THE PHOTOS!! That's way creepy! I'm guessing that you perhaps don't see anything wrong with that though?
  • I have no idea why everyone finds the photo thing so creepy. I could stare for hours on end at people's photo's on fb and there's nothing to say that someone hasn't copied all my photo's onto their PC, if I was that bothered I wouldn't put photo's up on the internet!

I've got pictures of my wife on my phone but even she'd find it a bit odd if I stuck them in a slideshow and spent all day looking at them.

That type of infatuation would be quite alarming to a lot of people. It isn't that people would necessarily be bothered that somebody was just looking at their photographs but that someone was obsessing over those photographs.

There is a massive difference between browsing through a friends holiday photos, and downloading their selfies on to your hard drive to watch in a continuous lonely loop while you fantasise about what could have been. A MASSIVE difference.

You could, I'm pretty sure most people don't, and creating a slideshow of an acquaintance? Sorry, but creepy.

Although the OP says this woman is single, from this post of his, it looks like he isn't!

I quite agree, however I have a bigger loyalty to my family, they would always come first. If I'd have been single probably the same if I'm honest.
Everyone you meet may be fighting a battle you know nothing about.
