Thank you all for such lovely messages
you're all too kind.
It's funny I do feel like I've accomplished all I dreamed - beautiful babies and a wonderful husband. I know that's arrogant. But there's real life too. I don't have the home i want, I am about to move where I don't really want to and I have debt. But the most important bases are covered
So just need to fix these bits then I'll be perfect. It's New Years resolution time coming up. Going to make real ones this year not just 'lose weight' and 'pay off debt' too vague.
I now think we should keep the flat. Grr this is so hard.
Hope everyone is doing great with their money today xxxLoan 1 £5200/£8000

I've bit the bullet twice today. Made an application for a new balance transfer fee free credit card and ordered 'renting out your property for dummies' off eBay.
Bit flat as the credit card don't do an instant decision and it's the 2006 edition of the book. So it won't be legally up to date but at least it's a starting point to know what I'm doing. I'm worried about corporate gains tax and agents and everything.
It's a fee free credit card so can't lose on that one... Unless I get rejected but I'll appeal. And I am not going to make new applications now for a year. So it won't matter... Right? MSE said I'd be rejected but MS said 7/10 chance.
Then now I can focus on the overdraft. I think. I'm scared on that as I don't have willpower on. I just wanted to pay it in one swoop and close it and pay it off elsewhere. Between the two current accounts will save like £22 a month. So good idea. I'll ask my current credit card if the transfer goes through. XLoan 1 £5200/£8000

Wow seeing my o/draft charges written down like that makes me feel so stupid.
To offset spending £2.59 on that book which I think is smart to get myself up to scratch on knowledge for a massive financial decision and that I will sell once I've read it, I have reclaimed £9 and £15 from items I've purchased where the price changed. So that feels good. Especially where one of them has turned up below expectation.
When hubby comes home (tomorrow!!!!!!!!!!!!!) we will have a look see what to do about overdrafts. I'm kicking myself for not doing this sooner. Got lots of banking type stuff to sort out with hubby when he comes home. He's going to hate me
Plus my massive supermarket order I sent loads of it back and got a refund on the practically out of date meatballs. They substituted the baby food to 30 packets of the same flavour?!? Going to look odd on my statement.
Still presents left to buydriving me crazy. Really thought I'd sussed it on the cheap this year.

Oh thank you
it's because hubby is home!!!!! So happy. Just being around him clears away all my stress. I have laughed all day today!
Today is the day I finish Christmas shopping. I've decided. I've ordered 3. One to go and photos to be printed.
And eBay tomorrow! On £10 so far. Hopefully get boosted.
Bad news is hubby didn't get holidaynever mind.
How's everyone else's Xmas shopping going?
PS the supermarket order is becoming such a blooming saga! I always forget why I don't do them - they always end in stress!! XLoan 1 £5200/£8000

eBay came in at £27
last one this year I think would be best. No idea though. I'm not great with this eBay lark.
Oh bang goes the budget. Had to buy two car seats and a buggy today. Yes it was dear. I scrimped on a car seat before and it was recalled but I'm not getting the money back so bought the expensive ones as cheap as possible. And the buggy cost £35 but it's going to buy me freedom! I can't keep carrying baby around everywhere she's too heavy. It's the cheapest one under 6kg with a hood and rain cover.
It's all well and good cutting back but my children can't go without essentials.
I actually feel liberated. I've been dreading buying these things as I know they're dear but I've got great deals and it couldn't be avoided so now it's done. No more big spends on the horizon. I can just pay it off.
And I paid for 2 car seats what I was going to pay for just one. So that's good. Always more decisive and clear when hubby is home. But he has declared we have to have an emergency/back up mortgage fund. I'll just pull that out my bum then lol.
Hope you're all doing wellx

Well done on the ebay - I have a few things to ebay, but I've heard lots of horror stories and its put me off. Plus, I'm lazy!!
I always struggle with those 'necessary' spends - there is always something the children need. Still, at least you've got them now and that's one less thing to do.0 -
The best thing to do if you want to eBay I think is just be really honest about stuff. Like I put things like 'I have no idea what model this is' or 'there is bobbling on the armpits'. And keep your proof of postage.
I have had problems but hardly any in amongst all I've done. It's just the pain in the bums stick out. You can do it! XLoan 1 £5200/£8000

Thanks, Kitten. Your feedback on ebay is really helpful. I have a couple of 'BNWT items' that were given to me, which I thought could be worth ebaying. Ive heard horror stories and it put me off.
I hope you get to finish off the rest of your shopping. I'm rather smug, as I've pretty much finished mine!!!0
