Oh no the girls clothes are quite the money spinner. It's my clothes that aren't. I'm down to one bag of the girls stuff which is on as a bundle. Hanging on to the Christmassy bits til November. Saying that my larger clothes do quite well. It's true what they say you never know what will sell. I've even just sold a pair of baby shoes.
Going to sell my pram soon too. So annoying. I just don't use it - it's the lightest double on the market but I just can't carry it down the stairs! Going to try fb and gumtree as the Fees will be so high! But I expect it'll go on there.

Good luck with Ebay.
I still haven't got my behind in gear to start!!!! I'm finding that as the children are getting older, most of their clothes aren't surviving to be sold/passed on.0 -
No I don't expect this to continue. I'll doubt I'll get to do hand me downs let alone sell stuff! But at least I have girls not boys. Could never afford to clothe sons.
Chanie come join the one eBay a day for February post on the dfw boardx

Ooo, thanks, maybe I will join the thread. I tried putting a couple of items on ebay a few years ago and it wasn't successful so I haven't attempted since. i guess I just need to get on with it.
I think that clothing boys is easier than girls as they wear trousers/shorts with a top or jumper. With girls, they can have trousers, leggings, shorts, skirts, dressses, tights, tunics... the list goes on.0 -
Maddie lives in leggings and tops. I CBA with dresses etcNow a SAHM trying to earn some spare pennies each month0

Its my Mum that buys all of the dresses and other impractical items for the children!!!0 -
Going to have to agree. My girls pretty much live in leggings and tops. I do love dresses but they don't really get worn.
Now the wardrobe is done I feel great. It's like when we did the shelving unit in the living room. I find it liberating to have furniture where all my stuff has a home and I confront my stuff. Ebaying has kept me sane with the arrival of dd2. My flat looks better than it ever has! I feel a lot better having people over. It's better to get what toys we want rather than never finding anything!
Considering doing the same in the girls room. To quote my husband their room 'looks like a bomb went off in toys r us'. Be good to get some structure. With two beds in there it's gone nuts in there.
Please anyone reading this embrace ikea and eBay it'll change your life! Trying to accept that we are in the flat for the foreseeable feels much less daunting... Unless I try to leave the house and come summer I'll be crying for a garden but still xLoan 1 £5200/£8000

I agree, it is liberating when everything is in order and everything has a home. I love IKEA too. Luckily, I have a store nearby, so I can easily pop in for a couple of items, rather than doing a big spend. I'm in process of replacing our crockery and buy a couple of bits every few months. Nothing fancy though - I'm getting the plates for 80p, which can easily be replaced.
Me and OH recently had a clear our of the children's toys. Firstly, we got rid of anything broken and a couple of weeks later, took some toys to my mum's for when we visit. I'm quite ruthless with the children's toys, but OH finds it more difficult to clear out.0 -
Shouldn't watch channel 5. Have to for peppa pig but then it's the Wright Stuff. People not living together to claim benefits really winds me up. I have no choice but to live without my partner most of the time. I don't get any benefits for this and it's expected that we should support ourselves. Someone on there this morning earning more than my hubby that 'can't afford to live together'.... Hm. I'm very glad my husband doesn't just leave the state to pay for me. And then to call a show and talk about it with no shame. Unbelievable.
Me and hubby struggle, we go without luxuries. Our debt stems from my old car and rarely having nice things. Like a meal out.
I just wish everyone worked together and wasn't so single minded. Our benefits system could be great.
Well are all still ill in our house. And now we have some d&v too. Fantastic. So probably why I'm a bit grumpy.
In good news made £66 on eBay! Yay straight to hubby's card he messed up on. Going to do a lot more asap. I've been really naughty. Bought some happy land off Facebook. Over £100 worth for £30. But to offset it I'm going to sell some of the duplicates it had on eBay. I think that'll be fair - I'm feeling naughty about buying it. But they love it at playgroup and there's always some gits that spoil it there so we can have a proper game nowjust need to give it a wash.
Hope you're all well xLoan 1 £5200/£8000

Poor, you Kitten. I hope you all feel better soon.
At the moment, I've moved past the 'benefit claimants' issue. It really used to annoy me that I had to go back to work early following maternity leave, whilst others got to sit at home. Now, I've come to peace with that and I think that in the longer term, the hard work will pay off. I also think that a lot of these people do say the things they do to provoke a reaction.
Well done with your ebay. I think you all deserve some treats and sometimes, you just have to grab a bargain when you can. Plus, if you can sell some of it on, then that's a really good result.0
