Get well wishes to all sickies.
Went into town after gym all set to buy the printer I'd looked at on Monday (having anguished on comparisons between 2). Huh - the special offer I'm sure they said was on till end of the month is now off and it is £80 more. Chatted to helpful man and decided on 2 possibles. He let me look on a cashback site to establish they were doing 9% cashback (same shop), so he agreed I'd be silly to buy it in shop. Had spent so long there, bypassed supermarket on the way home as couldn't be ****ed. Got on line. Did comparison. Favourite was £35 more on line. Chatted with on-line assistant who said nothing she could do. I pointed out that it was the same price on Amazing as it was in Stap1es. She said I could claim a refund after I'd bought it, via their pricematching. Went back to cashback site, Amazing were doing 4% off plus I had a voucher for £23 I'd forgotten about.......it is very time consuming trying to save money!!!! Anyway it is ordered.

Then my mum rang. Finally got round to a coffee and lunch at 2pm, so now I've got to fit a day's work into a few hours; I suspect flying may lose out although I did feed the birds and put a load of washing on.
Remember...a layer of dust protects the wood beneath it.

I have laid the rocks for the rockery on the raised bed. It took me an hour to get the rocks round the fountain just right, so that they hold the terracotta saucer of water (for the birds) level and direct all the overshoot from the fountain back into the reservoir beneath, but it looks good now and appears to work as I had hoped. Two small areas between the railway lines are also quite pleasing. The big, higher area at the opposite end from the fountain is a bit of a jumble, but when the plants are in and they begin to grow, it should start to look reasonable. I have also squashed a large number of snails and am hoping that the birds will polish off the slugs that were hiding with them.

Must post DS1's birthday card next

    Under bed dusted and rearranged

    Presents sorted and wrapped

Camhs have withdrawn as they said ds2 doesn't want to see them again

Mumto5 hope you are feeling better soon x

Not really! Just a small pump in a bucket, with a flexible pipe attached to the outlet; the end of the pipe sticks up through a metal grid laid across the top of the bucket, and the water jet is quite strong atm. I need to find a sprinkler type bit to fit in the end of the pipe. Anybody decluttering one, by any chance? :rotfl:

Sorry to hear that CAMHS have dumped your DS2. Why do they expect children to be able to cooperate after just one meeting?

    Afternoon all :hello:

OMG - it's soo cold here. Went to bins at lunchtime and my breath was visible and could 'taste' the cold in the air. It's now 3 degrees outside and snow forecast to start at 8.00

Sending gws vibes to Mumto5 and Pigpen and anyone else under par atm
nicki - hope your mutt is better
Dusty - sending some oil to pour on your 'troubles waters'
Iona - rockery sounds lovely, please post some pictures when flowering
CY - sounds like you're improving and getting your social life back

Well - I've had a very strange week, not really been feeling that good and generally out of sorts, not helped by not sleeping very well at all. However, slept really well last night and feel much better atm :)

    Have done 3 x WM and 3 X TD
    Finished all the dusting
    s&s bathroom
Stripped, turned and remade our bed
    All floors swept
    Bathroom and kitchen floors washed

I am now going to finish sorting a small hotspot of paperwork -binning, shredding and filing as I go, after I've had a cuppa.

Then time to make some food, but I'm waiting for some inspiration to come along first, as DH didn't want what I had planned to cook, and had a cooked brunch instead before going to work. Now I don't know what I want to eat :rotfl:

Hugs to all and hope you all staying safe and warm

  • Dancemum we have had a phone call from CAMHS as they want to meet with us to discuss whether there is any more that they can do for DS. We are waiting for an autism assessment so how do we know the answer to this? DS cant explain how he feels so he cant talk to anyone and we just go around in circles. I feel for you.

Windows cleaned, washing dried outside, tidied around, fires lit, hm fish and chips done for tea - what a mess that made.

Out shopping with Mum tomorrow, a rare day out which I am really looking forward to.

Morning. Little smattering of snow overnight here. Nothing to get excited about. Very chilly and windy although that is supposed to drop.
Rotten day yesterday, that'll teach me to rely on people:( so I'm determined to make today different- coffee is made and it's just me n my babies.
Today will be a good day whether it likes it or not:o

Think we need to wrap up though!!! Brr.

    Morning All

Sorry to hear yesterday was so rotten bossy - you'll have fun today! Hugs x

CY - you're sounding loads chirpier - so pleased you're feeling better.

Mumto5 - make sure you get some rest.

Dusty - hope the talk resolved some things.

Piggers - pass your snot on to someone else - but not me!

I think I'm going to sort my BR out today but I'm not sure as originally we were going shopping but I think that will wait until some of the snow has gone.

    Have a good day all

    Hugs
