Greenbee That is an eye watering amout to spend on dentistry!
My three year old niece told me that if I put the old tooth under my pillow I'd get the money for a new one. Sadly the tooth fairy spotted that it was a fake and left a rude message telling me to clean my teeth properlykids are now very conscientious about teeth cleaning!
Its a lot of money, but the ROI over my lifetime makes it reasonable. The crown was the mistake - should have gone for the implant straight away. As its a premolar, it's visible, and my job involves a lot of face to face work with clients. I've also seen the problems my mother has had with upper teeth as a result of missing lower teeth. That and the fact that if I'd just had it extracted I'm not sure whether the other teeth would ever have stopped moving around, which hurts. So lots of good reasons to do it. Just means putting off some of the work on the house until I've saved up again!0 -
Morning.
Woken up to dog sickSo I've vacuumed, put the spray carpet cleaner I have all over the rug (Used a full 500ml can!), flung his fleece covers in the WM on a proper wash and we're now going to have cuddle time on the sofa while I watch something and wait for the carpet cleaner to dry so I can vacuum it off. Depending on how it comes up I may do it again. He's curious as to the smell but I don't want him walking on it so cuddle time is a crafty way of getting around it
I best get some breakfast as I haven't eaten yet and I'm starting to feel sicky hungry. I'll post a list later so I can get on with things. Keeping the dog out of mischief for the next hour or so is more important than flinging a duster around! :wave:Creeping back in for accountability after falling off the wagon in 2016.Need to get back to old style in modern ways, watching the pennies and getting stuff done!0 -
Morning
Have not managed any extra flying since Tuesday - got dailies done on Wednesday, then DD3's 3rd birthday yesterday. Also yesterday, bought and built GPs a new home, and hoovered everywhere like a mad thing. And caught one mouse! Woot.
Haven't read all of thread, but loved the hat, and sorry about dental woes.
Will be out a lot today so might not get much done, but also we won't be in to make mess!
Aim for weekend: list stuff for sale on local fb group.Go to the ant, thou sluggard0 -
Good morning ladies. Ive had an enforced week off work this week. I was hospitalised Sunday-Tuesday and am trying to get my strength back.My three year old niece told me that if I put the old tooth under my pillow I'd get the money for a new one. Sadly the tooth fairy spotted that it was a fake and left a rude message telling me to clean my teeth properly

Well, yesterday was a bit of a wash-out again, in more than one sense. The rain came down with a vengeance so I never got to work in the garden, and then I developed a nasty headache (possibly due to the unexpected change in the weather? - I seem to be very sensitive to air pressure these days) so I slept it off after lunch and only really got going again at 4.30. My list for today is much like yesterday's so I won't bother putting it up again!
However, DH has just told me that one of his friends from the model railway club is coming at 10.00, so I will be cleaning the house by myself this morning. I will leave DH to do the floors this afternoon. I've already cleaned the kitchen and tidied the LR.
Hope everyone has a good day. (((Hugs))), spoons and sticks all round, as appropriate x0 -

Washing on the line
DW emptied
Food shop put away
Family situation implodding
Time for a cuppa and then I need to get moving to the shops. The birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0 -
I have
- finished notes from a meeting and emailed them
- cleaned all through the house, except for the floors (DH's job)
- sorted my shopping list for remaining cake and pudding ingredients (the day after tomorrow is Stir Up Sunday!)
- looked up train times for tomorrow
- made 2x :coffee:
- started the sorting and filing
but now the sun is shining so I am going to get out in the front garden and see if I can design and plant up a rockery before sunset :rotfl:0 -
Had a friend round for a catch up this morning - we had a great catch up.
Washing on radiators as at times rain is horizontal.
Message on answer phone from work saying that yet again the dates on my sick note don't tally. I am fed up of their complete incompetence...
So lunch now and then some more fluttering.
Mum and sister are in the area this weekend doing a weekend adults only break... so I may not be around much.
Mumto5 - hope you are feeling better.m:jFlylady and proud of it:j0 -

I did go to bed for 2 hours but I feel fine now, and I did cook the tea...
GWS vibes Mumto5 and everyone else who is poorly.
Mr LW is online researching a new tv.:( Ours (ancient CRT) is on it's last legs. Personally, I'd be happy to do without it, but he won't entertain that idea. *rolls eyes*. Fine.... he can pay for the blimmin' thing.;)
We did manage an @ldi shop earlier - we were in and out like a dose of salts, and I managed to get everything on my list.:TIf your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -
Well am finally sorted and have now finished for today. Have got all the rooms hoovered and dusted and loads of bits sorted and put away or binned.
Have gone through everything in the hall cupboard as we're apparently on a craft & making weekend so I've had to do a check of what we have so can advise whether required items are 'in stock'. This has resulted in the cupboard now being nice and tidy and any carp binned/recycled.
All ironing done yesterday, and rest of washing now in but won't be anything to iron
Am stocked for the weekend, apart from trip to £shop for bits for the crafting which will do tomorrow on way to Chiroprator.
Have a lovely weekend everyone, stay warm and safe.0
