I've been out to get logs and kindling in and it's WAY too cold and windy to do much out there. Hoping tomorrow I can get the grass cut/leaves raked and chop a whole lot of old floorboards for kindling as the bin is half empty (the last batch was old fence panels...)

Bathroom is spotless, so are the ensuite and bedroom. I've turfed out some clothes and shoes that I haven't worn in ages and am unlikely to again and will put them in the CS bag. It would be nice if work clothes and ordinary clothes would all fit in the same wardrobe, but that's unlikely. I may be able to squeeze them in temporarily when I do the next round of furniture moving for the builder...

Next up is the spare room, as I have visitors soon and my half unpacked suitcase is still in there from my last trip ...

Ooh, I've crocheted a chain and two rows :rotfl:

It's hard going though. I think I've got my tension all wrong - it's very tight. I'm just using practice yarn at the mo and it's quite fibrous so I can't see the wool for the trees :rotfl:

At this rate I'll finish my Christmas tree decoration by christmas 2016 :o

Made some paper baubles with the kiddies - we've hung them on the conservatory window handles until we are ready for the tree. Of course, DD wants to get it out now! She's trying to click her fingers - lol - she's got the action right but no noise so she's clicking her tongue :rotfl: little cutie

Welcome back Skinty and welcome to newbies - don't panic as you will notice that those of us who have been flyladies for a while are still not quite achieving a perfect house (or maybe it's just me).

According to the owner of our local shop, it was snowing big flakes at 6am; by the time I had woken up it was just rain and wind.
    - sat down with Mr N and made a few plans as I've got so much work booked, as well as a few outings, I wanted to get a handle on things. We achieved a lot; worked out how many more Xmas cards we need to buy; replied/donated to a friend who runs a charity; measured conservatory for new floor covering; checked everything was on the calendar that is due to happen between now and Jan.
    - I went through a whole basket of embarrassing but rather beautiful and colourful aerobic gear that I used to wear......er....rather a long time ago. Saved 1pr of leggings and top that I can still use without looking like an antique Jane Fonda, and put the rest in a bag for charity so hopefully some budding dancer/fitness girl will like them. While I was about it, I sorted out half a dozen items from the wardrobe that I haven't worn for ages, plus 1 book.
    - 1 load done in DW
    - went to town and dropped 5 bags of garden rubbish at tip, 2 bags to charity shop. Bought more cards while we were in there. Went into carpet shop, chose and ordered new vinyl for conservatory floor. Went next door to new H0me Bargains and did a bit of a shop - had planned Ald1 but wanted to see what HB had. Bought enough though will stick to Ald1 generally; however now we know what is in there. Mr N got new seal for shower cubicle which has needed doing for ages. Stopped on way home at village shop for paper, mushrooms & mince.
    - Have been through list of concerts at Albert Hall etc to find something we can take MIL to; checked tickets on website.
    - put up wind-blown bird feeders again. Wind strong and biting now.

I feel a lot less out of control now, so it's a couple of hours solid report writing till Strictly.
Remember...a layer of dust protects the wood beneath it.

Have finally finished unpacking (got back from my last trip nearly 2.5 weeks ago) and put my suitcase away. Removed 3 skirts from my work wardrobe to go in CS bag. Spare room not finished, but shouldn't take long. Kids room currently has clothes drying in it, but doesn't need much. Other spare room is a tip as that's where all the junk ends up...

Priority tomorrow is the garden, but it would be nice to get the house at least feeling less stressful for next week (I have a HUGE work backlog and have just seen from my work email that I have one lot of flights to book for December and a trip to plan for January).

Not sure I'll get much more done tonight, although I have just discovered I can order coal online, so that might finally get done! If only I could book the chimney sweep too...

Funny, I have only been typing a few minutes, and I already feel less isolated........it's nice to be home!
WB Skinty. Yeah, it's like that here, isn't it? :o The Flyladies have spent this week peeling me off the ceiling!:D

I've managed to persuade Mr LW that the tv will hang on for a while longer. Actually, I think he got a bit bemused by the amount of choice there is - and also realised that a 32" screen will totally swamp the lounge, so IF we do get a new one, it'll have to be smaller than the 32" he was thinking of.

We're a little bit ahead of ourselves on the regular weekend tasks, which is good, as I need to do some sort of a marathon in the kitchen tomorrow. It's toad-in-the-hole for tomorrow's dins, and I need to make a cake for Mr LW's lunch box, some sort of fruit crumble, and a loaf.
    Did I ever mention, I hate cooking?

I seem to have come to a bit of a standstill on my knitted cardigan, too. I need [STRIKE]some sort of motivation[/STRIKE] a boot up the butt to get on with it.

    It's a bit wonky :rotfl:
Need to practice changing colours next.
This is the first day I have even held a crochet hook. Quite pleased with my wonky lilac christmas tree :D

YL ds2 was diagnosed at 2.5 and we are still going around in circles backwards. He is 13 and very bright but comes home with pictures he has drawn and coloured in. He has his own class room for most of the time. I'm getting worried about the future.
Hope you get somewhere for your DS.

    Dances danced
    Ironing done
House vacuumed (new vacuum has big scratches on the pipe which is upsetting due to the cost)
    Bathroom S&s
    Meals made

Welcome back Skinty we have missed you x
    Hello to new ones x

Off to put the kitchen to bed hopefully without raiding the cupboards as I'm doing sw for about the 100th time.
