Or keep collecting more - until you are at a point at which you have preferably kept away from Sains for so long that you get sent cond.spends at a point at which you have amassed enough points to pay, preferably outright, for the rest of the bill (cond.spend amount needed to be reached less the money off amount). Which will then be way cheaper in A.
Use as many free ways of collecting points as possible. Never shop there with your card as you won't have kept away enough to get higher value incentives to "come back". They don't seem to give any till spits these days so no point bothering shopping there. If you do, never spend in excess of £10 on any shop (and never have the points from any shop in excess of that amount added onto your card) as they will simply want you to spend more on the cond.spends that way. Never spend more than £10 on fuel in any one transaction, if you use your 'loyalty' card, as that will also mean the spend required on cond spends will go up. In short, spend as little as possible with them and keep away from them as much as possible, then you will need much bigger incentives to get you back:D. Like £10 off a £20 shop that's £10 in A. In my dreams:rotfl::(.
I have had till splits last 2 weeks for £2.25 off £15 spend that I have been using in conjuction with the mycoupons thing and not spent much more than that each time.
I will pop in tomorrow when I either drop off or pick up DD2 from work and just spend a fiver to get my parking back and see if anything pops out. Then I can plan a shop for when I take her to work on Thursday.0 -
[1] If it's a £30 conditional spend why are you trying to get it to £50?
[2] ETA: Spirits don't count towards a conditional spend threshold, is it the same with wine? In which case wouldn't you need to get to £70 (£40 wine, £30 other)?
[1] My thought. I thought you're spending £40 on wines anyway, so if it's £4.50 off, minimum spend would be £44.50. You should not be spending more than necessary.
[2] Oh crikey:(. They dream of everything. If they don't allow spends to include wine, then would seem best forgetting about the cond spend altogether. Why spend £30 of other stuff simply for £4.50? They don't compare wine do they, so couldn't include cheaper at A branded wines in the £40. Instead, buying expensive TTD wine.
This is the thing though, with some double-ups. Way way back - when I was certainly not savvy at all and more like a muggle - I got a double up on flowers from £5 to £10. Probably only to spend on flowers that were priced at £10 in T that would have been £2 elsewhere:rotfl:. Or maybe those flowers were £5 in T (still very pricey) before the double-up that included flowers category. Certain categories - check the prices of items haven't been doubled just before the 'double-up' offer that includes them - as otherwise the doubling, which makes you think you are getting twice the points, is of course worthless.
Wouldn't the points be better on other items to pay towards a £30 shop, with £4.50 off, that's then branded items £10 cheaper in A? Or are the points, having doubled them up, now only able to be spent on (expensive?) wine?0 -
250 is £2.50 can you spend in sains or argos or look on your ectar account and all different ideas there
Misinformer500 points is £2.50 in sains/argos
although for the next week you can double up in Sains so 250 is £2.50 in there for a wee bit
So I just go instore and ask to use my points and they will automatically be doubled? TIA0 -
OMG it is so windy here, we have police all around our village, trees down everywhere, our trampoline went for a walk over the otherside of the garden, It is recycling day tomorrow and all the people have put their bins out, and the rubbish is flying all around the streets, looks a bloody mess.0

You're lucky - wasn't mhoc getting nothing? I did the fuel thing (bought fuel from them about ten times now:( - on each occasion, nothing!). I didn't expect any till spits to be given however - and I got precisely none. Maybe they are not missing me enough - and I certainly need to keep away even more (after undoubtedly reset my period to nought from doing the fuel buying).0 -
I am going to have to hand in my elite badge, I forgot to claim 2 lots of O2 rewards this year.
Would have been £9 worth.
