    I'm out of the loop at the moment as I'm suffering a bit of a dip health wise. But I use my nectar points on eBay. I don't shop a lot in sainsburys but I do collect a lot of BP petrol points. Make sure your nectar card is registered on eBay for collecting and redeeming.

    Happy 5 year anniversary to your son for swearing the allegiance. A proud time for you and for the people in our country who benefit from his sacrifice. it's a worrying time for anyone with a loved one in the forces as we wait for it all to kick off again. I hope you are ok......but at least it will give you something to worry about :p:o

    I find shopping in Sains. is probably one of the worst ways of collecting points! Probably along with buying anything from anywhere, ever.:rotfl:

    How very true, but if you want class, you have to pay a little more :p
    (Just a shame I am not willing to pay the exorbitant price they want up here!)

    Sorry for ignoring your health dip FC - or, more accurately (and it needs to be more accurate), for appearing to ignore your health dip - I wasn't - it is always noticed and, therefore, not ignored by me (even if I do not post to mention anything) and I'm sorry to hear about it - hope you get a bit better soon.

    I also failed to say "good morning", to everyone, when I entered the thread this morning - but, then again, that's just me - and I can!:p:D:rotfl::rotfl: So there! Deal with it!:p:cool:

    I didn't forget about it - I did realise after posting, "oh, I've not said 'good morning', should I go back and add it to my post?:think:" and then thought "oh forget it anyway, not everyone always says good morning on coming in to the thread and it's not necessary" so, I think I'll just come into the thread and post away - it's less time-consuming than stopping with the pleasantries that just basically are inefficient and take up time - and then this post takes up more time to write than a mere "good morning" would have done so it's all wasted:rotfl::rotfl:. Good evening!:D

    (I'm not really as rude or unkind as I may appear to be! I do think about it, very carefully, and probably far more than anyone. So, if I don't say "good morning", "good afternoon" etc., it's always to be implied as it is there, in thought! I just don't need to write it every single time I pop into the thread that's all. And I've absolutely nothing wrong with pleasantries - because they are pleasant and therefore nice and good things! So I'm all in favour.)

    Yours, very nice pleasant person Savvy.

    Good morning!:)

    :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

    Actually I probably did say "good morning" about this time now yesterday, now I think about it, so it could be said I had no need to repeat it later in the morning! Although I didn't think about like that. I just say it, whenever I feel like:cool:. And mean it also at all other times.

    [1] My thought. I thought you're spending £40 on wines anyway, so if it's £4.50 off, minimum spend would be £44.50. You should not be spending more than necessary.

    [2] Oh crikey:(. They dream of everything. If they don't allow spends to include wine, then would seem best forgetting about the cond spend altogether. Why spend £30 of other stuff simply for £4.50? They don't compare wine do they, so couldn't include cheaper at A branded wines in the £40. Instead, buying expensive TTD wine.

    This is the thing though, with some double-ups. Way way back - when I was certainly not savvy at all and more like a muggle - I got a double up on flowers from £5 to £10. Probably only to spend on flowers that were priced at £10 in T that would have been £2 elsewhere:rotfl:. Or maybe those flowers were £5 in T (still very pricey) before the double-up that included flowers category. Certain categories - check the prices of items haven't been doubled just before the 'double-up' offer that includes them - as otherwise the doubling, which makes you think you are getting twice the points, is of course worthless.

    Wouldn't the points be better on other items to pay towards a £30 shop, with £4.50 off, that's then branded items £10 cheaper in A? Or are the points, having doubled them up, now only able to be spent on (expensive?) wine?

    Hi Savvybuyer

    I'm a lurker. Just saw your post and ....wine does compare on the brand match......I got 1
    Barefoot Pink Moscato 75CL .its £7.00 in Sainsb and compared with asda £5.00.That was yesterday. ::j

    [...]

    My first failed shop for a couple of years though - as I picked up the Mars Advent Calendar:( (I even wanted Maltesers version but store didn't even stock that!). Of course T had a useless flash offer for a week - I thought it was on longer than that - and the beggars have put the price right up. It will definitely compare £2vs £2.79:( and the shop probably fail on much else as well. I was originally going to use a couple of frozen items that we could need[...]

    Oh. I should have mentioned about an hour or two ago - the "failed" shop turned out to be a success, of sorts, albeit a shop without any glitch just basic 10%. The point is I shouldn't say "definitely" about much ever. And then, when I do, it turns out not to have been definite at all! I know, instead, I usually say that something might compare to such-and-such. Or it might not. And then end up seeming completely unsure about anything and providing no help or use at all. I'm sorry folks - unless we see an actual comp., really we never know for sure at all and that's just the way it is unfortunately. The one occasion on which I then said it would definitely compare to something, it didn't!:rotfl::T I wouldn't be risking the calendars on APG today - that said, I wouldn't have been risking them yesterday when I did my shopping tbh. (Had I known...)

    Alright folks. Goodnight!:wave:

    Morning, goodnight!:):wave::D
