They do not like anyone taking time off during training, nesting and probation (although I was off on holiday for my last week of probation). However, you can request leave after probation - but you will only get paid the holiday money you have accrued so far - e.g if you get 25 days paid holidays for the year - you may only get 3 days holiday pay if you take them too soon - does this make sense:confused: Basically - you can apply for holidays before the 6-7 months but you may not get paid for them.

    ahhh right cheers for that!

hi ive been hovering around this thread for months now and i finally applied .I was just wondering , i currently receive working tax credit for working over 30 hours. If as stated in a previous post they only contract you for part time hours ,would i still get wtc as long as im doing 30 hrs or more with teletech and is 30 hrs available? I currently work in a call centre and have applied for sales position.

    Hi jax66
I dont think 30 hours is available at the moment. We have all been told the hours are 22 - 26 hours and 20 hours for the 4 weeks training.
You would still get working tax credits at the 16+hour rate.

The holiday situation is most likely down to the fact that you accrue your holiday time so in theory taking holiday within the first X weeks would put you into negative balance on your holiday time.

Thank you . I have just had first group interview and she indicated we could pick up extra hours after training. I phoned wtc and they said they go with average hours. I can sign contract for 22-24 hrs as long as the hours add up at end of financial year {i think}. does anybody know the chances of getting these hours. i need 30 hrs as i have no dependants. thanks

Extra hours are often available but there can be no guarantee given that they will be available to everyone that wants them. As the clients needs change the TT OSC contacts all agents for shift bids or for extra hours but like I say there is no guarantee that the hours will be there for you guaranteed at the end of training but I do know a number of agents have ramped their hours up.

Hi ali137 i am no expert as i have not even started my training yet.
The hours you have to work between are 4.30pm and 11pm Monday to Friday. Theypick the length of your shift and the days you work. Mandatory weekends anytime between 8.30am and 6pm.
The shifts for weekends are between 3.5 hours and 5 hours i think.
The weekly hours are betwen 22 - 26 hours.
Your already working 41 hours and the min hours are 22 at the moment.
I would not want to work 63 hours a week!!
We do not know who the client is and i doubt we would be able to tell you if we did. Confidentiality etc.
    Hope this helps

Not really, you will be offered hours within a set range and if they are not suitable then you have a problem. You do not get to pick and choose your ours and are on a fixed set of hours constantly. There is a thread about the sales side of the work in this forum area.
