acually it IS a phone, not just a dial pad. can you make a normal phone call on it? yes. can you add a handset instead of a headset? yes.

any fone will technically work, but you must use the one provided.

and i dont know why ppl keep saying it takes 2 - 3 weeks for the headset, ours and others were sent out in the first week....

Hi siranswer - thank your clarification about it being a phone and not a dial pad - I was the one that originally said it was a phone only to have it corrected by another user - I am not technical minded and I guess I used the term 'phone' just to indicated that you get the necessary equipment lol.
However, with regards to the headset and phone being sent out - I was in the first intake of inbound sales (wave 1) back in April this year and we got our phones in the third week of training and I believe the second intake (wave 2) got theirs in their second or third week - perhaps someone from wave 2 inbound sales can confirm or of course correct this.
Maybe Teletech are waiting to see how many people continue with the training course as we did lose a fair amount of people in the first two weeks.

Because not everyone gets theirs in the first week if there are issues, stock shortages or just postal issues. Mine arrived about half way through training, one person got theirs after training ended and had to wait to go on calls. Hopefully these days it's a bit more organised lol

I've had my ID verified now..all has been posted off.

The only problem is I have bought an ethernet cable and disabled the wireless but it still says 'no supported network card found'

Can any one shed any light?

I'm going out my mind! I just want to be ready to start!

Is it a laptop that your using? I remember our trainer saying that some network cards, mainly laptop ones arent supported by workbooth. Contact technical support regarding the issue and they will post a belkin adaptor to you.

Yes it is a laptop, I just expected it to work since my ethernet card is 10/100 and the Belkin adapters are 10/100 I think..

Just going to call technical support..

    Thanks

I have to say that was the most useless phone call ever and the man was very unhelpful.

Basically I just want to know if I definitely need to buy a Belkin adapter or if 'network card not supported' could be the result of something else, e.g my internet security.

Hopefully some one has had this problem before and will be able to assist me :D

What would we do without this thread:D

you definitely need to get a belkin adaptor, the workbooth CD only
has so many drivers on it for different network cards and yours isn't supported

10/100 is just the speeds the adapter can run at, its not the name
of the chipset type that the adapter uses.

    loads on ebay

    Hi wildt
I had a problem with the workbooth CD. The guys on here told me to get a belkin adapter but i didn't want to spend money on something i might not need.
4 days, 6 sessions on live help, 3 phone calls and a few emails later (no body knowing anything!) I finally spoke to a guy who told me to get...........a belkin adapter!!
Cost me abot 4 quid including postage from ebay. All works fine now!

    Hope that helps

  • Can someone who already is in the role please help me understand the holiday situation? I've just recieved my hirepack and it seems wrong to me.

It says that if you work 40 hours or more a week you get 25 days and this is pro rata'd for part timers. This would mean I would get 13 (ish) days a year. Surely if you work 5 days a week at fulltime then you get 25 days fulltime holiday pay, but if you work 5 days at part time then you get 25 days part time holiday pay? This is how it worked in my previous employment.

Also, public holidays are mentioned, but not Bank Holidays - I don't mind working them, but what is the pay situation?
