Guys I've reported the issue and the TT staff are looking to get the linkage and HTML fixed as soon as possible.0
-
I wouldnt go as far as say I edited the whole file lol, I simply added one little extra character that should be there! Anyway this is how to do it:
1) When you have downloaded the setup.exe from their site you have to find it on your PC, right click on it and extract its contents so you can see all the files.
2) Then open the form.html document up in NOTEPAD and look for the text that shows their website it is uploading to.
3) Change the beginning of the web address from http:// to https:// and save the document, all you do is add the 's'
4) Run the application by clicking the autorun app and it will get your PC info and the 'Post Information' button should upload.
Any probs PM me, the Live Help guys didnt have a clue with this, they just say keep trying.

If you dont know how to do it I can email anyone the updated files, so all you do after I email you is run it.
Drop me a line if you need a hand.

Well hopefully it will be sorted soon as the "Live Help" person I spoke to was escalating it. If it's not fixed let us know and I will pass it on internally as it's not good if people cannot get through the application process.0

so i scheduled myself for the info session on tuesday. has anyone else received an e-mail like this, and then begun training? i'm just wondering if this will be the "for real" thing now.
i hope you are all well, and i'm glad to see that some of the group i started here with back in feb/march have gotten the jobs!!!!0 -
The technical assessment seems to have been fixed, I just completed it without having to alter the .exe file0
-
Well she did say it was being escalated straight to the support group so looks like they realised they made a boo boo.0
-
Telephone interview tomorrow...
*nervousness*
Knowing my luck I'll be fine but they'll say "the next training is in three months". Or it'll start in a week and it'll take Virgin 4 weeks to install a landline. Gah.0 -
Thats good that they have updated it0

Yep, seems (if I am successful) that I will be doing customer support.. I guess at this stage they aren't going to tell you everything until they know you are going to be offered the job
The interview was nice actually, the lady was very friendly and pleasant, and other than a couple of typical interview type questions it was mostly a friendly chat about shifts and what I have done before, do I mind weekends, bank holiday working that sort of thing.
Seems that the course starting next week is full so if I am lucky to be taken on then my training would start mid August-ish. Seems to be that each training session is really for the group taken on for a specific client. 4 weeks training and two weeks "nursery" (I forget what she actually called it) where you are effectively taking the calls with support. Bring it on!
She also explained about the tech support job a little so it seems at this point they are happy for you to choose one or the other, depending on which you think would suit you best.
Seems like the support job is pretty standard stuff, support calls with upselling as an additional task - and I have done a lot of that in my time, so should be no worries. She did point out that work will be every weekend, but that you never work past 6pm on a weekend - cool - and that working bank holidays is likely if your day in falls on it (I think). But for anyone who has worked call centres before that's par for the course anyhoo. Seems like there is some flexibility as to what days you work thru the week - she said essentially mon and tues 4-11pm, or Wednesday too if you take more hours, perhaps with an earlier finish. may be different for other positions though, so don't assume that is the final shift. That's certainly not what was listed on the ad, but it isn't a problem for me.
Sounds pretty good, I can't wait to get started, assuming that all is well and I am actually offered the jobI should know in the next three weeks. Then I can get a landline and very long ethernet cable sorted, lol
Goos luck to anyone else going through the same - maybe we'll al meet up in the chat rooms, huh?0
