Had my interview tonight. I think it went Ok. I told her about workbooth assessment log in problem and she didn't seem to worry to much about it!
Waiting for a call Friday evening for next steps........fingers crossed.
Have to give up my full time job due to child care issues, but still want to be able to keep our heads above water! This would be ideal.0 -
Fingers crossed for you Jobberdun. What did they ask you?0

Thank you kindly.
They ask about my current job and they asked me to give examples on customer care, i.e how did i handle a difficult customer and how do i cope with last min change.
She also asked about my work place set up at home and the working hours that i was able to do.
The hardest question to always answer in any interview is when they ask why you want to work with that company  I was honest, like most of us here i want to work from home on a proper job not sitting here stuffing envelopes, i put it better than that of course
I spoke a lot more than she did and at times wondered if she was still on the line.
Good luck with your interview Daffodil I'm sure to will fly through it.0 -
I hope so. We could be on the same training course. Did you ask when they will let you know? My last interview was in the 1980's so I'm rather rusty!0

Lonely ?
How on earth can anyone be lonely with people like Oliver and Paul on their screen ?
I know my first week it was a bit of a transition getting used to silence around me but I soon got used to it.
As for people "disappearing" that happens in any typical call centre-the only difference is that if someone confides to you that they are leavng it'll be by PM rather than in the tea room !!
That first call is awful for everyone-but you soon get into the swing (no pun intended)
I work with a genuinely nice bunch of people and I enjoy the work and having just completed my first 6 months with the company I'm honestly glad I did take the job-even though I'm not a techy by training or inclination. I've learned new skills and get a kick out of helping people and the vast majority of the customers are lovely on the phone (a far bigger percentage than I expected if I'm honest !!).
I recommended the job to a good friend-and I wouldn't have done so if I'd thought she wouldn't feel the same.
No job is perfect but this one certainly suits me.I Would Rather Climb A Mountain Than Crawl Into A Hole

Yay! I went on Live Help like you told me to Daffodil and he said I have passed the assessments:p Now I'm more nervous for the telephone interview!
I have been reading this thread for advice and the only question I haven't came accross before is how do you overcome objections? I'm not sure I understand the context of it..can any one shed any light:o
Also, is there still a second telephone interview if you pass the first one?

Hi I am inbound sales - not sure whether your interview is for sales or tech support job but that question usually means how would you perhaps turn someone's opinon etc around. If for instance a customer says 'no' to ordering a product from you - how would you try to turn this round so that they will buy from you. You could list the benefits of your product, or askthem 'why they have said no'. Sometimes customers say no because they do not understand all the details, or they think it is too much hassle to change 'providers' as in our case, etc. Basically you are trying to get someone to change their mind, without hard sell tactics. Not sure whether this will help but hope it does.Auddel0 -

Thank you! That will definitely help me, thanks for replying. I'm going for the sales role too:cool: I have worked in a similar position before but in a call centre so I know I have what it takes but I'm nervous for this because I want it so much, lol.
I had a telephone interview yesterday for a job I'm not really fussed on but I viewed it as practice for the teletech one and passed it
Fingers crossed! Am really impressed with how fast things are moving so far. Good luck to every one else who is applying or has their interview today xx0
