Can someobdy explain to me how holiday work please? I started working for Teletech on 26th May this year. I tried to book Sat 2nd Aug off last week, and got an e-mail back saying it had been declined as I dont have enough holiday hours accrued yet. But surely I will have by then??

How many hours worked accrues a day off (I work 21 hours a week) and is this the same every year? So I'll never be able to book days off in January (as the leave is from Jan-Dec each year) as I wont have accrued the hours to take a few days off in early Jan?

Sorry, I hope that makes sense.

Hi, you will not be able to take any leave for the first 12 weeks so that is probably why your request was declined  try again for a date around 26th August (or count forward 12 weeks from the day you started training)

The hours are strict - you work from 4.30 to 11pm during the week and Sat and Sun mornings or Sat and Sun afternoons. if you where working 22 hrs you would probably work 2 days during week from 4.30 to 11 pm (6 hrs each) and either Sat and sun mornings or Sat and Sunday afternoons (5 hrs each)

Just to clarify Auddel is talking about the sales role hours there

The customer support job will have hours between
4-11pm Monday to Friday and 3-11 Sat and Sun

You will do a fixed rota working 5 days out of 7

There is no final test as such, you are on a rolling apraisal for your training and then are monitored for performance during your first block of calls taken.
We had to complete disclosure before ending training as we were told we could not take calls if it wasn't done, once you submit your disclosure you will often get a reference number and this can be given to your TL to show you have completed the disclosure and are waiting on the results.
Referees were sort during the early stage of training when I applied, think it was right at the begining as my manager nearly soiled himself thinking I was leaving lol.
As to holidays it is made clear at the begining of training that you cannot take leave during the training period at all, for the first 12 weeks you are under training and assesment and so will not be allowed to arrange leave in case you miss an important block of training etc. After 12 weeks its accrual as normal and first come first served 90 days in advance of the date you require leave on.

Hi guys - I am now working for Teletech @home on the technical side and just wanted to share my feelings and observations.
I would just like to point out that no one has asked me for a P45 or P46, and after speaking to my referees, none of them have been spoken to either.
The training takes three weeks, but could be done in 3 nights if you can avoid all the technical problems - which did verge on the ridiculous really - some of them quite worrying for technical helpdesk people!
At the end of the training, we were informed that we would be allowed an amount of time at the end of calls to show what we'd done - that wasn't true and the shifts all seem to be 4.5 hours which is the maximum you can work without a break - however you usually go over this at the end of the shifts due to a longer call.

Having said that - it is a proper job and it's all money at the end of the day, but as a previous post has said, people do seem to just disappear.
    Also its very lonely.

Not sure if this is the reason for you having difficulities- but workbooth was down tonight for a while - most of us who were trying to log in at 4pm for @homesales could not get on for an hour as workbooth was having problems
