A real work at home job

Just to add it's two different criteria so two different interviews so if you've been interviewed for one role but are now interested in the other you would have to be interviewed again-which I think is what she means in the email.I Would Rather Climb A Mountain Than Crawl Into A Hole

Completely agree. What also happens is that many agents become friendly in MSN with super-users and gain extra knowledge that way whilst the rest are left to find out for themselves or struggle thru the hopeless KMS.
What a load of rubbish LOL
I've never chatted to ANY of the SU's on MSN , AIM or anywhere like that outside of working hours (and the system doesn't allow access to MSN etc whilst logged into TT's system anyway)and anyhow there is no need to "learn" outside of working hours and frankly I have better things to do with MY time than to discuss "how to's" when I'm not working
I missed most of nesting due to a technical issue with my PC and still didn't flounder and I was one of the least technically experienced people in my group so I really wonder what you are talking about. Certainly it was daunting the first couple of shifts-it was all new to me but you can say that about any job that incorporates new skills. The SU's helped me out for sure-but to them I was just another nester....in fact it wasn't until several weeks later one of SU's made the connection between my real name and my MSE name and realised he "knew" me
.
The Su's help EVERYONE -even when nesting is going on and they are under pressure as nesters- like anyone else in the first days of a job- have lots of questions and the SU's still have to cover questions from more experienced staff at the same time. (It's a job where there is always something new to learn so even experienced staff need SU's sometimes
)
The job is not for everyone BUT to try and blame it on the SU's is completely unfair. They do a great job under a lot of pressure at times and are a great bunch of people who go out of their way to help EVERYONE.I Would Rather Climb A Mountain Than Crawl Into A Hole

Load of bovine, SUs use the same chat system as agents, are fully available to all agents that need them and no agents get preferential treatment. The only agents that struggle to get help from SUs are the agents that do not ask.Completely agree. I NEVER blamed SU's - read that post again dearie...it says that KMS is hopeless and does not tell you EVERYTHING you need to know for the job. Even if it IS working correctly - which (as you know) it RARELY is...0 -

I NEVER suggested that someone was given preferential treatment - I SAID that KMS does not tell you EVERYTHING you need for the job - and the way to gain extra knowledge is to ask questions by other means.0 -
Hey Oliver i'm a little confused now.
Ellen just emailed me this:
Now i expressed an interest in the ADVERTISED post of 20 hours a week but those posts seem to be 42-48 hours a week which confuses me as thats the roles i went for but theyve changed the hours!
I've emailed ellen back to confirm these but wondered if you had experienced this before? Is it a case of thats the hours and you can pick when you start or what? I know i couldnt work all that time and 20 -25 hours is the max i can do being a single mum with kids etc!
What also confuses me is she said she was offering me the Technical position yet in the email shes asking me to choose altho i applied for the customer rep role lol Also shes already said she was putting me forward for the role and didnt need to call again until training dates were available yet the email suggests i have to go through another interview :S
Does any of this make sense?
Yes. Yes it does.0 -
I SAID that KMS does not tell you EVERYTHING you need for the job - and the way to gain extra knowledge is to ask questions by other means.
Ahhhh I'm begining to understand your difficulties !
KMS is a resource-it is not the ONLY resource and to expect any one resource to tell you everything isn't realistic-in any job. Did you not realise the SUs are the ones you ask the questions of ? They ARE one of the "other means" in addition to KMS and the other resources you were trained in.
Seems to be you had all the tools available but you didn't understand how to use those tools-what a shame.I Would Rather Climb A Mountain Than Crawl Into A Hole

None of the jobs are 42-48 hours. The hours are within those quoted times -ie 20-25 hours within those times and are set hours.
For example the hours available when I applied were 3pm-11pm Monday to Sunday my actual schedule is 20 hours within that with a typical shift been 4pm-8pm (I work a mix of longer and shorter shifts) with 2 scheduled days off each week (the same days every week).I Would Rather Climb A Mountain Than Crawl Into A Hole

Well, finally got to hear about an "upcoming opportunity" in an email today....
"I wanted to touch base with you today regarding a new opportunity that has come available. The Training starts on April 28th and goes through May 16th from 4pm to 8pm Monday through Friday. This position does require that you are available for a minimal of six to eight hours, starting no later than 4:30pm Monday through Friday, Saturday and Sunday no later than 3pm. It would be required to work both Saturday and Sunday and the preferred availability would be starting at 3pm, seven days a week. This position is 20-30 hours, and if you are looking for 30 hours you will have six hour shifts. For example if you start work 4:30pm you will work till 11pm because this includes breaks. You would be scheduled both weekend days each week, along with bank holidays. This is a technical troubleshooting position, where you will be providing ISP support for one of UK’s biggest internet service providers. It is preferred that you want to troubleshoot technical support and enjoy a challenging position. If you meet the minimal requirements of this position and are interested please e-mail me back so we can discuss this further. You will need to meet the availability requirements and would need to be able to attend each training shift, and have no commitments that would require you to take time off in the next 30 days. If this position is not the best fit for you that is ok, please just let me know and I will continue to notify you about upcoming opportunities. I hope you had a wonderful weekend and I look forward to hearing from you.
Best Regards, "
No good for me though as its outside of my available hours!! I take it this is a generic email sent to all those waiting, as my recruiter knows my availability! Has anyone else received this mail?
To anyone already employed with TT, are there any training hours that start after 6pm weekdays? I have a full time job already, & was looking to do this for some extra income, so i cannot do any training/work until after 6pm on weekdays.0
