Hi - my email today said my training is 4 hours for 5 days a week which is 20 hours and my available hours when hired (I assume that means after training) is 22 hours per week- wonder why there is such a difference in the training hours between some of us:confused:

I think were getting crossed messages in here people are posting in
here and taking about the sales job, that will have a different training
    schedule to the support job

No probs were all allowed to have our opinion's of course

Just think its odd that us long time posters like me, PaulK
and Duchy haven't had any of these issues that seem to
have appeared over the past few weeks, and we have more
staff on the project than we have had before, so that shows
it cant be that bad :)

anyway thats all I will say on the matter, I am not going to
turn this thread into a flaming war after all the time I and others
    have put into it.

Well considering there's money to be made out of referrals, you're not likely to complain.:rotfl:

Can I just make it VERY clear I have not made a single penny
from a referal, thats not what this thread is about or the MSE
    board in general.

Hello everyone, just thought I'd post and ask a quick question after I found the site whilst googling to see if Teletech is kosher!

Does anyone know what the maximum hours are that you can work and can you earn enough to replace a 'proper' ;) full time job?

Thanks in advance for any replies.

I think you are right Oliver27 - but that is the confusing thing about the job - I originally applied for the customer support role but my interview with Mike it seemed to be a sales role - not that I mind as I can do both. I just thought that since some of the other posters are starting on the same training course as me (14th April) that we were going to do the same jobs - perhaps this explains the discrepency in the hours stated on our emails

Thats a hard question to answer Nic, guess it depends
how much you take home in a full time job

I think the most you can do is around 32hrs, I only do
24 as I study part-time too, guess you have to think whats
best for you keep in mind the hours arnt 9-5 though

well i havent yet heard back from the sales trainer regarding the fact they keep upping the minimum hours for the role (although i appreciate it is still quite early over there). So i have also emailed my recruiter as she is pretty quick at getting back to questions. Am glad i am not the only one who is a little put out over it. will post again when i get a response.
Just a thought - im sure the contract stated 22 hours? will have to have a look unless someone else knows??

Just wondered if you had heard anything back yet , Its a bit worrying ! There has been quite a bit of negativity on the thread today !

Yes there has but it's the same people over and over again.
Negativity from people who found the job wasn't for them and left.
Are Teletech the perfect employer ? Nope-such an animal doesn't exist. Anyone who thinks they do is dellusional. That being said they offer training appropriate to the job, supervisors who are helpful and supportive. The job delivers what is says on the tin -and they treat their employees with respect. That's my personal experience-mind you I have stuck around a wee while longer than one day out of training then quitting like some on this thread.
To be honest I don't get it......I've had jobs before which haven't been a good fit-and I've left fairly quickly -but then I moved on-I didn't dwell on it or b%tch-or put down the people who are happy with it and are getting on with it. I went elsewhere and got on with MY life.
But then we're all different <shrug>

They treat employees with respect? This is the same Teletech right? The same TT that doesn't tell you in advance of changes to work practises, the same TT that constantly lowers targets whilst upping the workload, the same TT that has some very odd ideas about what constitutes 'good' customer service.

You must have had some pretty poor jobs IMO. But then again, I've worked for Call centres that actually care about customers receiving the right service and are not focused completely on acheiving targets which make the Employer look good on paper. Wake up and smell the coffee....
