I'm still here! The underground pump is on outside (comes on automatically when the ground water level rises) and the shower took an age to drain away, but it looks like the river held :T Crisis time was 1am, so we should be safe now. Thanks for all the good wishes x Not sure what type of flying I'll be doing today - probably just collapsing in a relieved heap!

Glad you stayed safe and dry dizzy
Get well soon vibes to pigpen, bossy, little bossy's and anyone else who needs them.
Sorted some paperwork last night, something that should work in our favour and if it goes ahead will save us a considerable amount of money. Just waiting to see if all the neighbour's are in agreement now-will know by the end of the month.
Got all the stockings for one class cut out last night, this morning I hope to get them sewn along with a couple of mending pile bits. Started another baby cardi but still need to sew the others up.
Pigpen shame you don't live out this way, our school are having a Christmas craft fayre and have offered stalls to staff for a donation to the raffle. If you lived close enough I'd let you have 'my' stall.

Drizzly here, better get ds2 shifted and make a start on the day.

    Have a good one all.

    Morning all

Running errands today. I've put a wash load on, and I've put the "do not tumble dry" dogs bed in the drier for 30 mins on a delicate setting. Now if we could just keep a fleece throw over it then I won't need to wash it again for quite a while, I can just air it outside on nice days and wipe it over with a damp cloth.

    Plan for today:
    Errands (town, PL, KA, Wav)
Wash up (DD was supposed to do last night but she didn't and now we're on the dregs of dishes as I only have enough for 2 on purpose!)
    Washing (quilt, throws)
    ORDER
    Finances

Going to have HH paperwork while machines do their thing then errands I shall start a running!

ETA: Just noticed I have a new badge! Apparently its a "10 year anniversary" one. I've been here nearly 13 years lol Wonder if they'll have a 15 year one?

Just had a call from the gas company my landlady uses to arrange a new boiler being fitted. She said this week or wait until the 23rd. Its being fitted Thursday and possibly into Friday morning ;):D I've been topping it up 2 or 3 times a day since they came out to fix it so the sooner the better. It means I need to get the laundry sorted tomorrow as they'll have to turn the water off at some point, and have a clear up in my room but a new boiler will be most welcome :D The dog won't be happy, but I'll get him some calming stuff today while I'm out to help. I can spend Thursday doing paid stuff and then Friday I can clean. :D

Now I really need to get a move on. I wanted to be out and running errands nearly 2 hours ago!
