Morning all
Everyone away to work, school, uni I'm just having a cuppa and have some minutes to read before heading to get ready for the paid stuff myself.
Floor 'speed bump' is not improving so think we will need the builder to come and life some of it, fed up with having the heating on, we don't do heating!
Dancemum hope DS1 continues to improve
CY so brilliant to hear you feel normal, long may it lastThe birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0 -
Girls were very pesty again last night.. thankfully OH kept Pixie at his side of the bed meaning I got at least a bit of sleep.. the cat did come walk all over me though but I think I might have hoofed her off the bed lol.. I'm not feeling rested at all and appear to have a stuffy nose.. what the heck is wrong with me? I seem to keep threatening all manner of illnesses and not actually getting any of them! not that I want them, I just want to stop them pretending! I'm still very.. windy .. after the upset tummy on Monday, hoping that at least resolves soon.
Off to make a cuppa, load the DW, shift tile adhesive about and half kill myself in the process, hang out laundry, put stuff on the table for OH to move upstairs when he gets back from school.LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -
There are all sorts of bugs around pigpen I've spoken to two mums who have ear infections, DD teacher can barely speak and so many people have had the "silent" tummy bug that we had.
Both children are in school, hurrah! Lol.
I'm WFH and it feels lovely! Organised to go out for tea with people next door but one. They are emigrating soon. I think in the 4 years since DH died we've socialised probably twice - to say the blokes were best of friends - so it's a little unusual they've asked, but hey-ho, we will have a nice time and say our farewells.
Today I'm going to put a wash on in between paid stuff, and maybe wash up. But I have lots to do so flying will be limited.
DD has a rehearsal tonight too - mustn't forget!Bossymoo

Morning everyone.. Sorry have been missing for a while. All people see of me is the lists every other week.. Things are a bit up and down here health wise.. Plus puppy is taking up a lot of my time. Afraid I haven't been too good with a really horrible cold thingy, it started off with my throat, went to my ears and now is in my nose/head/chest - heck anywhere it feels like..lol. And I feel !!!!!..last night I felt like I was drowning in my own cold..it was scary!!
Haven't even felt like getting dressed for the past couple of days..yesterday was the first day in three days that I felt like a shower.. Haven't done any housework or anything for what seems like forever, and I can see the house slowly going downhill. I really need to do stuff. Although I am being kind to myself and praying that I don't go down with pneumonia like I have the last couple of years.
FIL is in hospital in the last few weeks of his life and that is dragging me down as MIL is very demanding when DH is at work. Actually DH told her off the other day so she has backed down. We are just waiting to see how his assessment goes and what they are going to do with him.. The hospital want to wash their hands of him and basically send him home to die, but OT don't want to do that..especially bearing MIL's age. We will see.. Another lovely Christmas coming up...great!!!
Pup is hard work, especially when he finds stuff to eat and I have to follow him around to take it off him.. His den looks like gods knows what..lol He's being neutered next week thank gods, so that should calm him down we hope..lol
Hugs and love to everyone, sorry for moaning.. Must sort out a list to do, even if it's a very basic one.Mortgage Free as of 20.9.17Declutter challenge 2023, 2024 🏅 🏅⭐️⭐️

Iona you sound so busy, make sure you take some time for yourself!
Hope your DS1 is better today, dancemum.
Has the tiler arrived yet, pigpen?
I have been trying to do three different jobs at once this morning, which is not really a good idea, so now that DH has gone out to Warfarin clinic and left me in peace, I'm going to make myself a coffee and concentrate on getting things ready for the course I'm running this afternoon. I can't do much more preparation for the other course that I'm attending this evening - maybe I will have time to read through the notes again before teatime.
Flying will be limited to S&S'ing the bathroom and kitchen and tidying up the study againI shall be sitting on trains and gallivanting round the country for most of the next two days, we're not expecting visitors, and DH won't worry about the state of the house anyway, so there's no point in bothering atm :rotfl:
(((Hugs)))), spoons and sticks all round as needed. Have a good day all x0 -

I had a good night's sleep last night and first thing this morning I was trying to work out exactly how I felt.
It took me a while to work out that the word I wanted was NORMAL!!!!! This is the first time I have felt like this since mid July. I did several loads of washing, made some Pudsey biscuits for Children in Need and cycled to the local shops. I also cooked a spaghetti Bolognese for tea and managed to walk to Slimming World. For the first time since July...
Needless to say I am tired now, but happily tired. Now have my feet up watching Lewis..
Hope everyone is having a good week..
Bluddy BD has moved in. Don't think I'd have bathed and dressed today if Mr LW hadn't insisted. Bleurgghhh. If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0
