    Can I join please?

Only having joined MSE in late 2014, I started an unofficial pot at the start of 2015, but it went awry when I raided it for bus fares and car parking. Loving the put double back if you raid it idea - definitely for me.

Fingers crossed for a better year this year, starting off with everyone else. So far... a pesky 1p that has been hanging around in my purse for ages.

I won't set a target as it might end up quite embarrassing. I largely use a cashback card (for as long as it lasts) so I don't get that much in cash.

A very warm welcome to you, Kim_13, it's lovely to have you with us! :grinheart Enjoy yourself saving and posting, and be sure to join in the banter with us. You'll find your number at the bottom of the list on post 2nd post of page 1. Please read through post 1 as it'll let you know exactly what to do with the challenge. PS. We empty our pots and declare our savings in November, please make a note of this year's date: 5th Nov.

Please also subscribe to the thread by clicking on "Thread Tools" (lower green bar) and clicking "Subscribe to this thread"...or you may lose us! To put your SPC No on, go to "Quick Links" (right side of top green bar), click and then click on "Edit Signature" and you're away. ;)

*Please pop your numbers on your sigs, it really helps.

Kim_13 - Be aware that any cashback you get can be added to your savings. Take a keen look through the 1st post on Page 1 to see the tips on how to save more. Be sure to look at the "Holding Pot" part. Also have a look at the reply I wrote to "mumof3plusoh" this morning (on page 4), it might just help you. BTW. There's absolutely nothing to be ashamed of if you can't reach your Target, many of us are the same! ;) Great saving!
morning everyone. Had a lovely lie in then realised I had promised to bake some cakes for a friend who is running a charity cake stall this afternoon . 24 rich chocolate cup cakes baking in the oven as we speak:T

Put some washing in and found 25p washer kill and 10p in sons school trousers, my change from his £3 lunch money! Also found £1 in shrapnel hanging about so thats £1.35 before I leave the house. I am on a mission Sue, hope you are proud of me £2.35 in 2 days :T:T

Have a great day everyone and I will drop in later
    love mumof3

Aha! That's more like the old mumof3plusoh I've known and loved for all these years....brilliant work now keep it up and look forward to that rush of excitement you'll be getting next November! :j Darn sure I'm proud of you, I am of all our SPC members and want you ALL to succeed in getting as much savings as possible every year!! Anytime you have a day that's not so good, look ahead to the silver lining of the next one when you're making that pot jingle as the coins drop in!!!! See you later! ;) What happened to my chocolate cake?!

Well done, Kerry, that horrible empty sound at the moment, but yours will soon be tinkling for sure! :D

What a horrible wet morning :(

All done, bubbs! What a day, though it's getting sunnier here now, a little less windy too - I've even got a line full of washing drying!!! :j Bless you for doing so much on the Reminder thread the last couple of days, you too, Lynne! There's a gold star for you both waiting there. ;)

Emptied my purse and hubby's wallet of change and into the pot it went, not been out for past 2 days due to feeling rough - don't think international travel agrees with me lol!

SueUU - Oz is lovely and we're making the most of it while we're here but "there's no place like home" :)

I'll bet it is, mummytummy, but as you say, there really is no place like home; you've had a wonderful experience though and made so many memories, fantastic!

Well done on clearing hubby's wallet out, isn't it caring of us to take care of them in such a way! :rotfl: It's lovely to hear more from you, a little more often would be good. :D

Reporting £3.05 that was left from last year. Don't want to claim it because I did so much better than that before I got caught short one month.

My goals are £100 for 2016 and £50 for christmas pot

    Edited & added
I added £3.00 to each tin.
I'm going to put the £3.00 aside left over from the bus tickets i get into:
£2 in a holding pot and the £1 in one of the pots.

Finish Christmas shopping?? You put me to shame :) I think I'll be doing a lot online this year, not sure how much fun the shops would be with a boisterous 16 month old and a little 2 week old!

Cleared out the bedside tables and located 20p in coppers, that's gone straight in the pot.
  • #348 joining in for another year. Have been off the radar for a while, but have been potting whenever I can.

It's usually just roadkill or money found whilst cleaning the house (!), however, after counting up this years pot, it all mounts up.

Good luck to everyone on their own SPC9 adventure :)

  • :hello: Evening everyone,

Well this year I'm hoping to be more proactive and get more saved. I have lots of ideas for saving in place, just need to put them into practice!!

I braved the wet and windy weather earlier, to do my shopping and have 2 x 20ps for my tin plus 47p in shrapnel for the other tin, so at least a start!!

We are off out tonight, taking DD and her boyfriend to an 18th party in Bromley, so DH and I will be heading into London to look at the Christmas lights, it might put me in the mood for Christmas! :xmassmile
and then of course back to pick them up and return them home.

    Have a good evening everyone.

  • Evening all :j

I've just come back from a lovely walk along the beach with OH. Had to pop into the shop to get some bits for tonight's tea (After saying in this mornings post that I wasn't going anywhere to spend any money today!) and have now got some pennies to pot, £6.20 to be exact. So pleased with is. Now I'm consciously thinking about not frittering way the little amounts of money I can see how it can quickly add up. Let's hope I can keep this up :)

I've just replied to you on the other thread with a suggestion, vanilla twist, as you can't not have those £2s counted in your Total, but maybe next November would be better for you - just DON'T forget to include them!! Great month March!! ;);)

Ooooh lucky you, wealthygirl, surely you couldn't fail NOT to feel Christmasy after seeing the lights there. We've only had 1 year where we saw them a lot and I loved it. :snow_grin To help you in being more proactive why not visit the thread more and get better motivated, it all helps.

Oh, I do love to walk along the beach, Daisychain, hubby and I did so a lot towards late summer - can't beat it!! :j
