Evening all and a warm welcome to the new peoples and returners :hello:

I have put the odd £ 7.48 back in the pot and added a £10 to start off the new challenge :j

Soo pleased I made my target, as that's our holiday paid for March next year :D

Sue - please can you add £1200 target for me again for this year. I will have to push to get there but great if I do.

Hope you all have a super Saturday
    Lx

PS - love the purple buttons sprouting up everywhere today :rotfl:

Your Target is updated too, Lynne. I noticed your last year's Target was to pay for the holiday so chuffed for you that that's sorted out. As Lynsey would say "you get your holiday free." Bless her, I do hope she will soon be back. :( I guess the purple buttons are a new thing; I wondered what the devil it was on mine early yesterday AM, the vision was blurred as twas!
Bring on the next year. I'm going for a target of £600.

Thanks for the new thread Sue, I'm surprised your fingers are still working after all this posting.

    Happy new potting everyone
    SP x

...you and me both, stormpassing! :(;) I'm surviving...I think! :undecided Your target is updated too, all the best with reaching it!! :D

I've sorted all the dates, thanks Westie, but I think I'll leave jakes-mum's paragraph as it is for now and see how I'm thinking when it's not so busy. Many thanks for all your help though, most grateful.

Good to hear about both cars, lovely eh!!! :D
Have a goodnight, everyone, and a wonderful, if wet, weekend!!

    Sue xx

  • I would like to save at least £1000 for 2016. Not sure how to achieve that. I don't want to set a target and feel stressed about it. We don't celebrate Christmas but December is still our most expensive month due to DD's birthday 3 days before Christmas.

This year I have watched my pennies like never before. Made a big dent on debts, small dents on the mortgage and paid no interest on any debt. Thanks to the MSE members and their tips and tricks my family have still managed to live a comfortable life at the same time sorting out our finances. Even saving seems fun. I never been so dedicated to penny savings before. But it makes so much of a difference. Anyway I am aiming higher for next year so please keep the encouragement going. It feels like a commitment, but in a good way. Thanks to all and good luck potting in SPC 9.

Good Luck Baby Angel, with this years challenge,

I understand your predicament with you DD birthday as mine is 2 days after christmas, so I hear the groans each year when people not only struggle with christmas present ideas for me but then add the birthday it as well...

I do enjoy it as I do end up with some pennies to treat myself in the January sales, although I do moan I have to wait all year to celebrate, to which my patents remind me, it was my fault i came out nearly four months early I could have had a nice easter birthday instead....
