£2.10 potted today, so far. Another load of change 'borrowed' from the OH. he left it on the fireplace for more than 24 hours and i'm tidying up. I will admit to him that I have borrowed it this time though lol
I have to go shopping at some point today, our bread and milk is running dangerously low and not to mention the fact that dinner tonight might just be the dust bunnies on a plate that I find whilst cleaning!
Hope everyone had a good weekend!

Well done to everyone who is continuing to pot even though it's getting so near the big day. I've been struggling this last week but I have managed a couple of £1 coins. My tin is already starting to sound good when I shake it! :j:j£10 a day extra in May '18[B]£35/310[

Good potting, Chutney, and I hope you both enjoyed the film.TheDapster wrote: »Potted about £6 today after Xmas shopping including 2 x £2 coins :T
DS came over for tea, I was practising for Xmas dinner and burned the turkey steaks
He didn't seem bothered :rotfl: and it was lovely to spend some time with him

I'm sure, same as you, TheDapster, that your DS far more enjoyed the company - we hope! It's the thought that counts. Well potted!sunshine81 wrote: »Popped into town, it was quite quiet fortunately. Nobody likes me and my double pram in a busy shopping centre!
Meant I could break into a crisp note for the car park, return home with £4 that has gone in the pot.
I do like this challenge! x
It's lovely to hear, sunshine, your desire to save also!
Take things carefully, lexbubbles, and rest up if you're not working.
Well done, 32b3. I hope you have a great week too.suz_87 wrote:My 1 year old has a piggy bank with over £10 in change in it, well she did, I transferred the money into her bank account and potted the money! Is that bad?
So long as you did as you said, suz_87, and put her savings in her bank account, then how can it be bad! That makes a lovely amout potted for you too, can't be bad. :j
Afternoon skilly. :hello: You're allowed a slightly more lazy week, so long as you keep it up the rest of the time - and don't forget us!
You're most welcome to the dust bunnies, Lyndsey-michelle,though I think I'd opt for popping out for the bread and milk.
So, when you confess to your DH - IF he wants it back - is he prepared to wait until November 2016?!!!! :rotfl: Of course he will.
Great saving, !!!!!!. I would off to help with the ironing, but FAR too busy!
I know things are getting difficult due to it being so close now, hummingbird, but at least you ARE still saving which is excellent!!! :j:xmassmile Have a super week with a great Monday, SPCers....and keep feeding those POTS!

Nearly had a good result yesterday when returning home down our lane in a howling gale. Spotted a £5 note blowing about(it definitely was one, not just a figment of my imagination;)). I almost caught it but was scuppered by the gale:mad:. I hope someone else has better luck catching it before it ends hidden in a hedgerow or drowned in the stream.
One more question, folks:o. How do you manage to cash in your pots? (I'm well ahead of myself here, there's nearly a year to go:rotfl:). I'm only potting small change and each plastic bank coin bag only contains £1 worth so I'm expecting loads of them by opening day. I know my bank only accepts a certain number of bags per visit so I can see me having to call in every day for weeks:eek:0 -
Hi All
I've managed to feed my pot several times since last posting. Lol
I'm also trying to keep more up to date on here too, although that's not easy at this time of year. Life is a balancing and juggling act0 -

I took mine into Santander in November Carbootcrazy and they told me they only accept 5 bags each time! I find it quite bizarre, banks that don't accept money  As I had arrived early in the morning and the bank was quiet, she told me she'd accept them this time, which was very good of her as it was quite heavy lugging my bag around town
Potted a couple of pounds over the weekend, not sure how much. Spending quite a bit on the plastic at the moment - always freaks me out  Love the silly season, but will be glad to get all the spending out of the way. :xmastree:
