Mendry - Many apologies, I welcomed you on yesterday on the previous page, but.....forget to add your name to the list on the 3rd post of Page 1However, it's all done now. :j
ZebNeedsMoney - You've managed to nab money from your DH???! A fantastic move!!!! :rotfl:
Many thanks, Lynne, the perfect welcome, so...the shiniest star! :staradmin
Have a lovely evening, everyone, and a lovely Wednesday. Many {{{Hugs}}} for all our poorly family members, I do so hope you're feeling so very much better soon! :grinheart
Good to see you fingersxed, though I understand it's not always easy to get back to the thread as it's often a battle when life gets in the way. So long as you're saving.carbootcrazy wrote: »One more question, folks:o. How do you manage to cash in your pots? (I'm well ahead of myself here, there's nearly a year to go:rotfl:). I'm only potting small change and each plastic bank coin bag only contains £1 worth so I'm expecting loads of them by opening day. I know my bank only accepts a certain number of bags per visit so I can see me having to call in every day for weeks:eek:
ooooh such bad luck with that £5er, carbootcrazy! Better luck next time, though if that'd been many of us here (yes, I'm speaking of jakes-mum) she'd still have been running after it now!!!! :rotfl: NO! I'm not joking.
BTW. As others have said, so many banks have their own counting machines that you can benefit from. I've always taken ours (pre counted and bagged up) to our village PO, might be worth a try..or village store. PS. Excellent news about your handy holding pot too, very wise...sensible as well! :T
At least you've still managed to save, siju, though it's dard to get ready for Christmas without the old plastic having to come into play. :cool:Lyndsey-michelle wrote: »Thank you for your private messages as well sue! I have given them a quick glance over but not really taken it in between the screaming children, and lines to learn for Xmas plays and trying to stop the cat attacking the Christmas tree! Haha
Don't worry about the PMs, Lyndsey-michelle, they're there for when you're ready to hopefully go for it!!!Well done with the saving! Great news about your DH's dropping habits!!! :rotfl:
Well spotted with the 1p, lexbubbles!! BTW. A gold star for you with your advice about the lemon juice v cats. :staradmin
Good work with the saved cash, Modesty!
50p's good, Chutney...
....you too, frasersmum....
.....and you, 32b3!
Very good for you too, Hicksy!
It's so good to hear you have the relief from that abscess, Helen, though the dodgy tummy could be a result of the antibiotics which should soon clear up. Well done with the cash.OH is currently being put forward for a few jobs which means that we will be deciding on whether we are staying or moving to another country in the next few weeks - slightly stressful! I'm trying to help out by preemptively organizing but there is only so much you can do unless you know for definite that we will be moving!
Time for you to relax and enjoy that break when it comes, tatabubbly, you've earned it. All the best to your OH, though I agree..it could also bring a stressful time to you both for a while - excitement too quite possibly! :grinheart
Sadly jakes-mum I've also put different denominations into the wrong pot, ot made me a bit mad at first..now I'm getting more used to it. :undecided We've 1 & 1/2 Lid!s in town, one on one said, one being built on tother. Our 2nd one will save a long way round too! :j
£17.50 saved from shopping - which is now safely stashed in the relevant pots!!!:xmassmile Have a really good evening and great Wednesday, SPCers....and keep feeding those POTS!

Soooooooooooo, we went shopping at L1dl as planned, then we had to go to Tesc0 as L1dl only had our bread in the medium slice (I mean whats the point of that? its as thin as paper! I like a bit of bread in my sandwich!) and somehow ended up with a Tassimo coffee machine and a load of coffee pods  I swear DH keeps putting things through the till when i'm looking at the bargains  my £15 shopping bill suddenly became £100
On an even more spendy note, my bed is on its wayand I have a nice new super deep bed sheet all ready for it as it seems overlocking the edges on the old superking size ones was not an acceptable option . . pfft, gonna do it anyway as a spare :rotfl:
No more pennies for the pot at the minute as the trusty CC had to come out in Mr T  but think I have some from the super cheap £10 l1dl shopSPC No 002 SPC(3) £285/£250 (4) £519.84/£500 (5) £768.32/£500 (6) £911.30/£600 (7) £913.23/£600 (8) £1184.82/£750 (9) £2864.04/£750 (10) £3846.25/£1000 (11) £1779.72/£1000 (12) £1596.55/£1000 (13) £1534.70/£1000 (14) £775.60/£1000 (15) £700.20/£1000 (16) £2081.34/£1000 (17) £1691.15/£1000 (18) £225/£10000 -
I'm back
.
Flew back in at about 6.30pm last night.Caught up with OH and 4 beautiful children that had decorated the house for me,put welcome home banners, and home-decorated balloons all over the front door. And wrote me cards.
When I woke at 4am overnight,I thought "Well this is a bit early to get up and make kid's sandwiches for lunch!!".Have been surviving the day quite ok.Thought I was doing really well until I got a phonecall from school.I was home with one DD,older DD was doing an afterschool activity finishing at 4.40pm.At 4.50pm teacher phones and says "Hi,Saver-upper,it's Mr Bloggs from afterschool activity."
"Oh,hi,Mr Bloggs, how are you tod- OH MY GOD,I'VE GOT ANOTHER CHILD-I FORGOT TO PICK UP XXXX" :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:.Fortunately he laughed at me:D:o.
While I was in Oz,I told myself that when I got back,I would pot all the British currency coins that were in my purse. So this afternoon I potted my well-travelled coins: £2 coins x2,£1 coins x 7,50p x3,and assorted shrapnel.Coming up to a total of £13.74.:j.There was also a 5c piece that I accidentally bought back, and an American dime (roadkill from near the customs scanner in Beijing airport. As you do ).SPC #36 :staradminx 8.SPC7=£751.10 SPC8=£651.04 SPC9=£843.00 SPC10=£872.76

Happy new coffee machine Jakes-mum. I bought one last week. The pods were 2 packs for £7 in sainsburys. There is usually a deal on them somewhere or other apparently
Excellent potting Sue.

£2.50 today
Change from topping up my Oyster card.
Discovered I had more on it already than I first thought so I kept a sneaky £2.50 back as I felt I was neglecting my pot which is hiding nicely in the food cupboard behind a tin of tomatoes :rotfl:SP 9#531=£620/SP 10 # 531=?PDBX 2016 #2 = £16,766.67/£12,000

Hello lovelies  Potted a tiny 5p piece I found loitering in the playroom (the coin, not me!) but nothing else to report as Small's Christmas fair and play wiped me out of all my money this week. Schools these days are die-hard fund raisers! I had £20 at the beginning of last week, in case of emergency following the flood, but somehow I don't have a penny left :eek:0

Oh,my-it is raining gold coins!!:j
Last night I took my son to a Scouts ice-skating evening. While he was skating I started my Christmas shopping.
I had promised myself that this SPC I am going to pot all the £2 coins that cross my path.Between buying my first Christmas present, and buying DS and myself a crepe with nutella and banana ,in change I got 3 x£2 coins, and 6 x£1 coins.I have just potted the lot!!
Not sure if I can afford to be given too many more £2 coins :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:SPC #36 :staradminx 8.SPC7=£751.10 SPC8=£651.04 SPC9=£843.00 SPC10=£872.76
