Happy new coffee machine Jakes-mum. I bought one last week. The pods were 2 packs for £7 in sainsburys. There is usually a deal on them somewhere or other apparently :)

Ahh I shall keep an eye out, Mr T had them on 4 for 3 so 4 boxes cost me £12 ish but im sure 'himself' will soon make his way through the 8 boxes I had to buy

You crafty devil you, jakes-mum! You're poor D must be as grey as a badger or darn nigh. Good to hear your bed is on the way. :D

That coffee machine ain't for me Sue! I don't drink the stuff, am only allowed decaf tea (and is there any pods for that? is there heck as like! only those gross icky fruit tea things) kids also like it as it has hot chocolate pods as well . . . might hide them all . . . not that i'm annoyed that yet again we have a toy that is completely useless to me or anything! :rotfl:

Jakes-mum I'd love a new mattress for my bed -maybe I'll get lucky in the January sales. I wake up with backache most mornings which I think isn't ideal. It can't be anything to do with the 3 cats sleeping on me can it! :rotfl:

My hubby suffers alot with his back, which is worse when the spare bed thats underneath ours is removed, so I had to assume that the support in the bed was knackered (still took me another 5 years after discovering this to buy a new one :D) of course it can't be the cats! :D as if anything so cute would cause backache, im sure it would be MUCH worse if they were not there :D

An entire 6p in the pot today! I am truly the last of the big savers :rotfl: need to get some shopping when I pick up youngest from school so maybe have a bit more later.

  • I FOUND £10 ROADKILL!!!!!!

I ALSO FOUND 25p ROADKILL (well vending machine kill (i wasn't using the vending machine, just like to check it for change))!!!!!

Edit: and another 95p from a different vending machine :D but i have misplaced the 25p...... i put it somewhere safe.......

The Christmas events started at the bird garden this weekend. Whilst stood outside Santa's grotto (i am the elf who lets the kids in to see Santa) i noticed £10 on the floor at the same time as a 12 year old lad. I picked it up before he did and said i'd ask the family that went in before him. I asked them and they said it wasn't there's so i have kept it. I hope you don't all think i'm a terrible person :(

Just over £2 gone into my little purse today (still to find a pot)

I could be the cats, jakes-mum and Dapster;). Whenever my cat sleeps on or beside me he looks so peaceful that I sometimes lie in a very awkward position for fear of disturbing him:o. I sometimes wake up a bit achey:eek:

I once read a lovely story about Dr Albert Schweitzer, a cat lover too. He frequently had cramp in one arm because his cat loved lying on it and he hated to disturb it:)

Don't worry, carbootcrazy, they can soon smell it and just give it a wide berth so no harm done.

Ah...I see, jakes-mum, can I be forgiven for thinking it was you?!!! :p

Well done on the roadkill, Ruth, though I'm truly unsure how to respond to the £10er. Not an easy situation granted, but difficult to know which side to come down on. Unknown to anyone, I know, but it depends on what sort of life the young lad has. All you can do now is move on and try your best to forget about it as it's in the past.

:xmassmile Have a lovely evening,SPCers, and great Thursday, ....and keep ip the feeding of those POTS!

3rd November is the new opening date for 2016.

Got another £2 coin in change this morning :j.In the pot it has gone.I wonder if they are all falling out of someone's pockets as they walk around :D.
As I was getting ready to fly out a couple of weeks ago,I asked OH to return some library books for me.I knew I had had them for far too long (since September ) and I knew there would be a fine.OH,with everything else he had to do while I was gone, returned the books through the return shute.Today I had to go to library to do some printing. While I was there,I told the librarian I wanted to pay any outstanding fines. She told me there was £30 owing :eek::eek::eek:.I got the money out of my purse as I apologised, and she wiped the charges :j.With the last couple of days effort I really don't think I should pot £30 straight up now (money I shouldn't really have icon_redface.gif),but if I still have it spare after making a dent in the Christmas shopping,I will pot it.)
