Thank you carboot
I have just had a sneaky peek and already I am in love with the balloon over the bottle trick. It actually looks amazing.I may well give this one a go for decoration purposes. Dressing table etc. .
Thanks again I will definitely be looking some more.SP 9#531=£620/SP 10 # 531=?PDBX 2016 #2 = £16,766.67/£12,000

No. 064 checking in for this year. I did post my total for the last challenge but have just looked and couldn't find my post.
Will not be able to save too much as I am a SAHM but every bit helps so I won't have a target figure.

Potted £1.14 after post office/morrisons
Sadly no roadkill.
Was gonna buy my usual £1 spread then saw a giant 1kg in the reduced section for 55p (like 3x the size). It's date is today but I find spread lasts forever past its supposed date anyway. (Also got 3-pack madeira cakes for 45p and a big pot of vanilla yogurt for 25p. Bless the reduced section)Aqua 0/1850 Cap.One 0/450 Vanquis 0/500 HSBC 0/100

A very Good Afternoon to you all folks. No rain here yet, but very windy! I hope you all have a great Saturday, and relax if shopping allows. {{{Hugs}}} for all those of you who are unwell or who have colds. I hope you're soon much, much better! :grinheart£1.78 went into my normal tin today.
I have £4.00 in my holding pot but when I get paid I will split that amount between my two pots.
An excellent idea, Moonbean, and makes saving even more enjoyable.
Hellooo there, Saver-upper!!!!! :hello: What a lovely surprise. I'm so pleased your Dad's funeral went relatively well, though they're always sad occasions, but at least he had a wonderful turn-out which I'm sure will have helped you all, especially your dear Mum. Enjoy your time with your Mum and, when it's time, have a VERY safe journey home!
You're welcome, Helen. Have a good time at home, plenty of Christmas preparations need doing I bet. No money for me over the weekend either so we'll be the home alone twins!:D
There your go, 12 month challenge, you're never long in waiting for help here at SPC!! :j
A brilliant suggestion, carbootcrazy, I ADORE Pinterest! :T I get lost for too long at times, but the things you find are amazing!!! Here's a gold star :staradmin for such a great suggestion to 12 month challenge.
I hope you're able to get to the PO in the dry, lexbubbles, at least you get the excercise, best way to view it. :j PS. Bloomin well done with your PSBD offers!!!! Saves so much.too_much_debt wrote: »No. 064 checking in for this year. Hi TMD, yes, you posted your amount on SPC 8 a couple of weeks ago I think, but to check (which I've just done;)) click on your name in your post above, then click on "Statistics" and you'll see the relevant post is the 2nd down.Never mind the fact that you're unable to save very much (well, you know what I mean:)) but never stop keeping a look out for any chance to save. It's not the amount....it's that you're saving full stop! So be proud of yourself. How about doing surveys like YouGov, it takes a while but at least at the end you get £50! I've been doing that for 5 years and have received 4 lots of £50 in that time.
:xmassmile Have a GREAT WEEKEND, Potters, enjoy yourselves....your pots too!

I live in Glasgow Sue :rotfl: I don't know what this word "dry" means.
And yes I'm a big proponent of buying yogurt/spread/cheese from the reduced section because the "use-by" date on anything other than milk, dairy-wise, is normally nonsense. What's my yogurt gonna do? Ferment itself some more? :rotfl:
As for the spread... it's "can't believe it's not butter" light. Doubt that's gonna kill me anytime soon (it's vegetable oil and water...) I normally have the same tub of spread for several months anyway.
My best friend's boyfriend is so picky about food dates that he won't even eat anything that's on the "best before date". It gets thrown out the night before like... what is wrong with you? I've seen him throw out an entire box of perfectly good eggs because they were "best before"ing the next day. Even though every single one passed the floatation test and would probably have been good for another week or maybe even two. Drove me mad.Aqua 0/1850 Cap.One 0/450 Vanquis 0/500 HSBC 0/100
