:hello: Good evening everyone,
Well, I'm so glad its Friday:j
I had to spend my £2 coin yesterday to buy some milk:( but I did get a 20p in my change which went in my pot, together with some change I found in DS's jeans before I washed them:D
An early start tomorrow as DH is starting a new job as a courier driver, and will have to drop him off at 8.00am  As he will pick up his van. I will be going shopping after, so will see what I can pot afterwards.
Its so positive reading this thread, I am so determined to do much better this year, thank you everyone for all the support.SPC 11 #4450 -

The Police 5 was originally for five minutes and apparently helped catch 7,500 criminals, even helping to find some of the Big Train robbers !!
Potted a crisp tenner today for this week :j
Sue - I am on the ''make £10 a day' challenge and have promised myself to put into a savings account every month up to £250. Would it be okay to add any left over each month to my pot savings ??
My DS, who lives in Ibiza, arrives for a short break on Saturday and we are going to see the ice hockey on Saturday night. If the weather allows we are also planning to go over to see The Kelpies and, hopefully, also the Falkirk Canal wheel - so lots to look forward to atm.

Hiya Lynne! I see no reason why that wouldn't be fine, why not! Anything that helps our members achieve better results with their cash is fine by me. PS. Thanks so much for all your help over the last few weeks, you are a star! :T
Have a wonderful time with your DS visiting the wee Kelpies...big Nessie ones too!!! Have a great time, Lynne, and revel in his company.
...and another day with more potting, frasersmum, that's the way it's done! :j
If you're ever unsure of something, evo5819, then do as you did earlier and ask away - but it will never be regarded as being thick. :grinheart
Well done, Helen! Thanks for the help. This :staradmin is yours.I'm thrilled to bits for you that things are turning around, enjoy the pleasure it brings.
lexbubbles - the D represents darling and dear, sometimes dear is a better choice other times darling is more :kisses2: passionate, it depends who we're speaking of.;);)

Psst.It's me
.
Thank you everyone for your lovely wishes last week as I was preparing to fly to Oz for Dad's funeral.
It has been lovely staying with mum-just the 2 of us.It really must be 30 years since it was just her and I spending time together: each time I have visited for the last 13 years,I have had kids in tow, before that there were always my OH,or siblings, nieces, nephews staying at the same time.So now it has just been mum and daughter.Everyone else just visits for a day or 2.Have caught up with lots of family and friends.
The funeral yesterday was sad, especially when music or songs played :-(.But it was a lovely celebration.Over 300 people at the service!
My biggest expenditure since I have been here was today,$99 for a wi-fi "box"/mdem/dongle sort of thing,so I can chat to you guys.I really am living in the sticks at the moment-too far away from any tower for internet access. So that is what I did.Hoping tonight to be able to Skype my OH and kidlodites.
Being called for tea.Will catch up soon xSPC #36 :staradminx 8.SPC7=£751.10 SPC8=£651.04 SPC9=£843.00 SPC10=£872.76

Morning Saver-Upper....I'm glad that the Funeral went as well as it could do and that a lot of people turned up to celebrate your Dad's life....and to remember him....
Thank You Sue for my Star....And for the encouragement, I really appreciate it....
Nothing to Report with regards to Potting, I'm not going out this Weekend at all so I won't have anything to Report until Monday...But that's okay, I'm pleased with how things are going so far since this Challenge started....0 -
£1.50 potted today. Change from corner shop again.
I seriously need to get a new pot as I am currently using a coffee jar and I can see straight through it lol. I want it to be a secret
I have hunted high and low for the black duct tape to cover it and its disappeared
Anyway I will have to get my thinking cap on

Whenever I'm stumped for any arty-crafty ideas I head straight to Pinterest, my new best friend:rotfl:, as it's a mine of information and ideas.
I originally thought of painting your jar using acrylic paint. I've done it a few times, the results are really good and look decorative at the same time, but it's defeating the object of saving the pennies if you have to go out buying paint:eek:. Ordinary gloss paint will do and most people have a bit of that lurking in their sheds and garages;)
Here's a link you might find useful but beware, if you're anything like me you'll find so many fascinating byways to wander down that you'll be on there all day:o
