No potting to report (haven't spent for a couple of days :A).
Wanted to say,my dad passed away on Monday "our time".(Family is in Australia, where I am from, and I got the call just before midnight Monday night).I will be flying over there as soon as I can organise it-probably Sunday or early next week.
I have been continuing to work -because I don't know what else to do with myself,-so days are ok.Evenings are awful for me-so far away from family .

Sorry to hear this and apologies if it looked like I'd ignored your post. I must have been typing when you submitted yours. Such sad news for you made even more difficult with the huge distance away from your family. Sending hugs xxx

Salvaged some loose change from hubby's pockets last night (with his permission) so have something to pot at last and also found 2p roadkill on way home from my mums.

Saver-upper - Sorry to hear your news, thoughts are with you at this sad time x

Huge (rather dodgy looking) hug to you saver-upper :grouphug:

£5 in the tin from my £65 cash back, am currently struggling internally as to whether to pot the other £60 as notes or go change them into £2 coins for the £2 coin tin I still don't have :rotfl: I do love to count those lovely coins! I shall keep it in my purse and muse upon it.

Talking of saving, DD has been having a toy clear out ready for the man in the red suit (well we don't want him turning up and saying 'ooo, she's got loads of toys already, doesn't need any more' so we get rid of the stuff she's outgrown every November) well she's currently on £62 in sales and if her DS gets picked up today that's another £60  she's got more money than me!!
I asked her what she was going to spend it on, she said 'I'm going to save it for after Christmas', I said 'oh, what will you buy in the sales?' DD 'cheap stuff' :rotfl: ahh she's soooooo my child :D

So very sorry to hear your news, Saver-upper. This must be the very worst time to lose someone precious and it's so hard to be so far away. My son lives in Sydney so I can imagine how you feel. Big hugs to you x

The wind has died down here, thankfully, but there has been lots of damage with branches everywhere, aerials down and the wind actually blew a plastic shed onto a neighbours new car  Luckily no-one has been hurt as far as I know. The lights also went out on Tuesday evening around 7.30pm and I happened to be in the bath at the time! OH calmly finished his game of candy crush on his tablet before he decided to investigate  We went to bed in the dark and read by torchlight which was quite cosy! Think of the money we saved on electricity :D

    I digress...I found some loose change in a purse I don't use very often so it's been potted.....around £1

Have a lovely safe day everyone x

I am starting a new job tomorrow but I am off to go Christmas shopping with my friends on Friday so one day to go until the weekend starts for me :D

Best wishes with the new job, 32b3, I take it it's a 4 day a week one leaving all Fridays free! ;) Enjoy it, your Christmas shopping trip too.

Well done, Hicksy, I say it a lot I know, but it's great when hubbies get involved, they obviously see the sense in it.

I'm so terribly sorry to hear your news, Saver-upper, deepest condolences to you and your family, especially your Mum. Little wonder the evenings leave you so bereft, it's a lot to take on board, but bring all the wonderful memories to mind that you've shared over the years that's what they're for. :) Safe journeys there and back and take care! Your potty family is with you in spirit and many loving{{{{Hugs}}}} for you.

Thanks for the encouragement and suggestion Sue. I did take some money out yesterday as I finally ventured into civilization for milk, and promptly bought a Maccy D breakfast on the way to my DH's aunt and uncle's house this morning. It was soooo good (can't remember the last time I bought fast food). Change given will be split between the holding piggy and the sealed one with the option to transfer it all on Sunday. £1.02 definitely into the non-refundable pig today to join my solitary penny...

B very careful, Dizzy Imp! Food prepared at home saves us all soooo much money - which could go into your pot rather than feed Mc!onald's pockets!!! :naughty:

I've still got that hollow feeling (reminds me of a song way back!) too, TheDapster, I also must get more smaller coins in there to help! :(

I have, Lynne, Opera too, but it's only FF that'll C&P coloured text either from my posts here or from all the SPC stuff I have in a folder (on e-mails); like the welcomes for new members and my ending part below. The others all transfer it as plain text like I'm writing to you now. If you've got any other ideas I'll be happy to give anything a go as I'm still having real problems. :( Give it a try by C&Ping my "Enjoy your day...." bit below on a test post (but don't submit) and you'll see what I mean. Thanks Lynne, so much. :)

Hmmm...you know what they say about you Scots, lexbubbles! That's why your not finding cash. Shops, car parks, recs etc are your best bet. BTW. Could you possibly help me with with your IT knowledge and take a look at my reply to Lynne, any help would be amazing, thank you.

Well done on taking 'care' of your DH's pockets for him, rylee12!! :j
You muse a little longer by all means, jakes-mum, THEN pot it!!! :rotfl: Ooooh, your DD's going to so much like her Mum, canny as they come.

Hi little_sweetie! A few branches problems with panes in greenhouses etc her too, little wonder. With all that wind, what a blessing no one was hurt or worse! :D Your G's a blighter eh, sounded a lovely cosy scene in the bedroom though! Good to see more of you...keep it up, please. :)
Enjoy your day, Potters, and keep those pots fed well!!!!
    Sue xx
