Hmmm...you know what they say about you Scots, lexbubbles! That's why your not finding cash. Shops, car parks, recs etc are your best bet. BTW. Could you possibly help me with with your IT knowledge and take a look at my reply to Lynne, any help would be amazing, thank you.

Well, the colour and formatting of text is done with BB code (where you put stuff in square brackets). I wasn't previously aware of a browser C&Ping BB formatting straight off the bat like that from simply highlighting and copying text.

However, if you "quote" yourself it'll come up with all the BB code in, then you can simply C&P that, or just delete anything from the post you don't want (including the quote tags)

As an example (I'm going to replace the [ ] brackets with regular ones here otherwise it'll come up formatted and will be harder to explain)

    Quote your post like so
    "(QUOTE=Sue-UU;69558959)

    (SIZE=4)(COLOR=Magenta)(B)Enjoy your day(/B)(/COLOR)(/SIZE)(/QUOTE)"

Either delete the (quote) tags, or C&P the relevant bits from within and add it to your new post:

"(SIZE=4)(COLOR=Magenta)(B)This is your formatted text from quoted post(/B)(/COLOR)(/SIZE) This is the rest of your post."

If you use the same message and formatting each time, you can simply save the BB formatted section into a notepad file and C&P it over each time.

You can also use pastebin.com to store the formatted section of text online, if that is easier.

    Does that make sense?

Found 11p in shrapnel whilst tidying today.

EDIT: I copied and pasted the formatted message from the end of your signature into a pastebin file here: http://pastebin.com/2vQjd0JX which you can copy&paste to the end of any post you like (or C&P it into a text file and save that, if you prefer) If you'd like me to do the same for other frequently used messages, I'm happy to do so.

This seems like a jolly and supportive thread so I'm biting the bullet and asking to join the challenge please:j

I'm definitely not going to set a target figure and I know a 'holding pot' will feature in a big way for me this year:o.

Being on a DMP I have very little surplus left over at the end of what sometimes seem like very long months:eek:. I used to save £2 coins and 5p coins (hate the little blighters) but now I often have to resort to paying for groceries using all the odd pennies that I can find at the bottom of my purse. Embarrassment 'r' us :o.

Will be saving all coins 20p or less from my purse whenever I go shopping, temporarily in said 'holding pot' and transferred to my sealed tin at the end of the month if there's anything left after what might be regular dippings.. So I'm not expecting to make much but every little helps as they say;).

I also do car boot sales whenever I can in the season and after taking out money for other needs will save any coins left over. This will be more plentiful than the day-to-day scrabbling about in my purse.

I hope these plans fit within the rules and spirit of the challenge. Have read the first post but was in a hurry so will give it another go when I get a few minutes.

Looking forward to your company during the year:beer:

  • Well after a quiet day or so, having not spent anything other than petrol, I finally have money to pot. We have parents evening this evening for the oldest, so decided to put a beef and Guinness stew in the oven that I can just leave on while we go out, meaning I have £2.29 left over from going to the butchers and OH came home from work this morning with 59p which I told him I was nabbing for my savings pot. He didn't say 'no' so I'll take that as a 'yes'
So that's £3.83 from me today. Good day for potting me thinks! Still no roadkill. But I haven't frequented the children's park recently! Lol it's too cold!

    Hugs to saver-upper

One £2 coin plus a handful of silver and copper being potted tonight.
CBC, I love 5p coins. I've done without things rather than spend them. :o:p

DH had two hospital appointments today, one at 10 the other at 2 o'clock. Car parking is £3.30 a time.

Welcome to all our new potters.

    Hugs to any in need.
