You'll find your number at the bottom of the list on post 3rd post of page 1. Please read through the 1st post as it'll let you know exactly what to do with the challenge. PS. We empty our pots and declare our savings in November, please make a note of this year's date: 3rd Nov.

Please also subscribe to the thread by clicking on "Thread Tools" (lower green bar) and clicking "Subscribe to this thread"...or you may lose us! To put your SPC No on, go to "Quick Links" (right side of top green bar), click and then click on "Edit Signature" and you're away.

*Please pop your numbers on your sigs, it really helps.

carbootcrazy - you're welcome to include all you get from the ways you speak of, it's no different to any other sales, so go right ahead. :D

Many thanks for the welcome aboard, Lynne, I see you managed to C&P that all important quote then! I take it that was with IE? :D

Thank you so very much for all that help, lexbubbles, and yes, I know most of what you're talking of. I'm going to give the quoting from my own post a try for tonight and see how that goes. However, I used IE after my earlier post AND it C&P'd my entire signature part without fault!!! BUT - as I have Windows 10 I was only able to use "IE" the once and can now only use "Edge" which...won't C&P it!!! :( I've uninstalled FF and downloaded it again (just in case) but it is so painfully slow that you wouldn't believe! :( Bless you for all you've done, lexbubble, you are a star! BTW, here is a gold star for all your help and thoughtfulness, it's the very least I can do. :staradmin I won't give up with doing this the easiest way I can. Meanwhile, huge thanks! Sue x

Great saving, Helen, and yes, you CAN use the C word!! :santa2: Keep that chin right up - yes? YES!! :D I LOVE,LOVE, LOVE this time of year too, even rainy days, cold days and foggy days, each has a real magic, dark nights 'n all!!!! Well, that's thee and me happy Helen! :rotfl::rotfl:

Lyndsey-michelle, well done on such a great day's potting!

Ah well, 32b3, wishful thinking then I guess.

    Well done Bex!

It's shocking CP for patients/visitors is stupidly high, Modesty! It should be free for those who definitely need to go to hospitals and cards to allow free parking should be sent to patients at the same time of the confirmation of appointments! One day!

Forgive me for tonight being a little slow, folks, and if things don't come out quite as they normally would, but I will get there! :j

Oh, I would. I loaded it up the other day to test the photo issue and I'm pretty sure that turtles walking through syrup would move faster. I'm waiting for it to load again now so I can test this mystery format-copying. Oh this is so painful.

Thanks for my star! I've been trying to do more research on this. All I can find is that FF and IE support rich-text formatting during copy&paste from sites because those browsers havebuilt-in text editors (in FF's case this is called "Midas" and will C&P formatting from sites that allow interaction with it).

Copying text from a website in chrome and pasting it into a document (or even google docs) retains formatting, but posting it into something like this forum does not - whether copied from the internet or a formatted document - which suggests Chrome doesn't have the built-in RTF editor that Firefox/IE have and isn't capable of retaining formatting in this case. Sorry 'bout that.

I'd recommend just keeping a text file handy with your formatted, oft-used bits in it and then you can C&P into any browser you happen to be using, if you can't bear to use FF or IE. Otherwise you're going to be manually formatting every time.

If you're quoting your post, remember to remove the (quote) (/quote) tags from either end so it... doesn't show up as a quote. Or just C&P it from that pastebin file I made.

Anyway... £1.34 potted post-uni. Still no roadkill. Honestly it's a 2.5mi walk each way to uni straight through the town centre - so past shops, (the entrance to) a shopping centre, the subway, two train stations, pubs bars etc... The day I find even a solitary penny I shall jump for joy in the middle of the street :rotfl:

You're most welcome, carbootcrazy, you'll have fun alright too, this becomes addictive as you'll soon find out. Whether you save much or not the most important thing is that you are saving!! Once you get into the pattern you'll start to question all your purchases. ;) All the best with those carboot sales too!

Re your last part, lexbubbles: People are so mean these days, it's just not right. I was up late last night trying to sort out this FF lark, I wonder if it depends on where you download it from; today I got it straight from the Mozilla site - perfect!!!!!!! It's got the MIDAS touch you referred to! :D
    113364.gif

I am thrilled to bits!!!! I did remember about getting rid of the [ ] bits from my 'signature' part last night, but to be honest, I was just too bally shattered to bother. :(

Re your main highlighted part: I've got everything I use here stored for easy access and it's always worked like a dream all the years I've been doing SPC - until the last 2 days, but now - hopefully - it's sorted out and - fingers crossed - it'll stay that way. If not you'll hear me scream again!

Bless you for all your help, lexbubbles, you've been a treasure through all this and I so appreciate all your work, sweat and frustration. Another gold star is yours for sure. :staradmin Thanks also for the turtle bit, it gave me a real giggle. :rotfl:

Very well done, Moonbean!! Far better in your pot than waiting for the next person to nab it! ;)

Leave NO bit of fluff untouched, LB29, and good luck!

Thanks so much for that, mummytummy, the visions were great, so was the laughter! :rotfl:

£15 in the pot after shopping yesterday, quite chuffed with that. :j
Have a GREAT day, folks, and a WONDERFUL WEEKEND!!!!! Never forget to pot.
