There is so much encouragement on this thread, its amazing, and this year I am determined to do really well. Everyone is doing so well and potting some amazing amounts.
I had to buy some milk today and have my first £2 in my change to put into my pot.:j
Have a good evening everyone.:)SPC 11 #4450 -

Just a thought, all SPCers,
I wouldn't mind betting a lot of members who haven't declared yet didn't see the earlier closing date when it was changed last year - so, it might not be until the 26th that they came back to declare! Just to keep you all aware so you don't nag me for the Grand Total.
Please help me out folks by quoting the message above (NOT the entire post!) every so often so everyone gets to see it. Thanks so much, Sue xxCan I join up please? Might need to open my pot early as I'm getting married next year but I will count up and give 2 totals I've that is the case.
Most certainly you can join up, LB29,a very warm welcome to you, it's lovely to have you with us.Enjoy yourself saving, posting and be sure to join in the banter with us, it'll help you stay strong! You'll find your number at the bottom of the list on post 3rd post of page 1. Please read through post 1 as it'll let you know exactly what to do with the challenge. PS. We empty our pots and declare our savings in November, please make a note of this year's date: 3rd Nov.
Please also subscribe to the thread by clicking on "Thread Tools" (lower green bar) and clicking "Subscribe to this thread"...or you may lose us! To put your SPC No on, go to "Quick Links" (right side of top green bar), click and then click on "Edit Signature" and you're away.
*Please pop your numbers on your sigs, it really helps.
LB29 it'll be fine to open your pot early, just be sure to jot the amount taken out onto your signature so you don't forget to declare it with the rest.A little prematurely perhaps, but all best wishes for the wedding!
Very well done, honey...

Thank you so much, 32b3, it'll be such a help to me as folk are bound to soon want to know when...! There are still so many members who I'm certain wouldn't desert us, but SPCs declaration date has always been the end of the month as you well know. So, I'd really appreciate your help.BTW, a gold star for a great and thorough welcome, many thanks. :staradmin
theresamum2 - if you and your partner can do your utmost to fill that coke bottle, the pair of you will feel like dancing in the street next November!!!! :j:j The £1 one too of course!
I'm not at all surprised it doesn't feel real yet, Ruby, that's what we all feel in the beginning, but little by little the comfortable silent times and that indestructible bond lets you know just how far you've come, together! DH & I've been married for 40 + years and I wouldn't change it for the world, truly! :heartpuls:grinheart
Good saving, Dragon Lily, as ever.Lyndsey-michelle wrote: »I'm just proud that I'm managing to pot anything at all considering that I have never saved any amount of money in my life and always lived hand to mouth regardless of my income. It's just a shame, now that I'm a stay at home mother and have no income that I am thinking of saving! Just think of the money I could have saved with all the money I used to earn! Hahaha.
Those words are wonderful, Lyndsey-michelle, you've come to realise just how important savings are, and no matter how little you manage to save YOU will have saved!!!! No regrets, push on, stay focused and always question "do I need it..or just want it?" If you only want it - leave it on the shelf - as in time you'll be able to afford better things properly! Budget well. You ever know what lady luck might throw at you...stay positive and be read to grab it!!
Well done, Bex, and no, no-one will ever miss what they leave behind for...you!! :rotfl: Take care up there.wealthygirl wrote:There is so much encouragement on this thread, its amazing, and this year I am determined to do really well. It's lovely to read such words and know you're happy here, wealthygirl, keep up the incentive - and VERY well done on that £2!!!!!! :j
:rotfl: Brilliant work, curly, and I just know you'd never tell a fib!!!!!;););););)
Goodnight, Potters, and have a good Tuesday...though another bloomin wet one!Take comfort in your pots brimming with great possibilities!!!!
