  • Hi,
I went shopping today, and came away with £10 and 49p in change. So I've potted the 49p. I can't bring myself to pot the £10 note as I know I will need it during the week in order to go back to the shop and get more bread and milk. so I will be keeping it on hold for now and then potting the change from that later in the week.

Luckily my other half never complained he was missing £1 after I picked it up off our living room floor and potted it without him knowing! lol

A very Good Morning to all SPCers! I hope you all had a lovely weekend and are now ready for the week ahead - or not!! ;) Quite a nice, if very windy, down here, but I've a feeling it's still soooooo wet for those of you in Scotland and in the North. I hope it doesn't go on too much longer for you all, but sadly it looks as though it will for this week. :( Take care all of you! {{{Hugs}} to you all and to all those who are unwell, lets hope things soon pick up. :)

Sorry I missed you last night, Lynne, you rylee and me all posting at the same time I'm sure. :D Anyway, a shiny gold star is yours for a thorough welcome. :staradmin Thanks so much for your help.

Oh my god you guys I just figured this out. I thought it was CSS not playing ball but I was wrong* this is easily fixable.

lexbubbles, you're an absolute gem!!!! :kisses3: Mine looks a whole lot better now...so does your photo on P 14!!! :j Thank you, thank you, thank you for the detailed instructions on how to put it right - you have now earned your 1st gold star! :staradmin They're given out for helpful acts such as yours. Anyway, all's well now thanks to you. :D

The photo resizing post on page one was worth adding then Sue :)

The photo re-sizing instructions have been on Page 1 for years, Westie, it had just been a couple of clicks longer to get to it. If the 1st post has too much reading on then people won't read it, simple!! However, in this case it wouldn't have made a scrap of difference as not everyone uses photobucket and no one had lexbubbles instructions!

Well spotted with that £1, Bex!! I had a really lovely weekend thank you, I hope you did too.

Just to update another 7p in shrapnel added to my pot, it might not be much to some but it's mounting up at this rate it might be about a tenner by Christmas.
£2 coin pot hasn't had anything added, got one yesterday put it on hold and had to use it!

Try not to lose heart, crv1963, I understand what you mean, but you never know, things might pick up and bring a huge smile to your face. :D

Yours also, Dizzy Imp, though I admire you for being lighthearted about it this early into the saving year, why not!

Cor, wasn't that ever a right pain reading posts with photos on the page, jakes-mum. I've been so exasperated at times, especially with replying!

I'm part of the £10 a day challenge and just want to check if I put some of the money from that into my tin can I count it for both challenges.

You most certainly can, rylee, the same applies to any other MSE challenges, just include them when you declare next November.

You are doing really well, Lyndsey-michelle! Don't forget you can always have a Holding Pot for anything such as that £10er to go in. See the 1st post on P 1 for details.

Hello again, skilly, and good savings! The thread's more normal now we see more of you - keep it up, please!
Have a lovely day and good week, Potters, and....keep those pots a tinkling!!

Oh my I'm a sneaky devil. I 'accidently' found an unused sealed pot and mentioned it to the boyfriend. He asked if he could have it to save for his MOT in May. I reminded him we had a Christmas next year too...

I just had a text telling me he's going to save more than me by the end of next year!!! Challenge accepted. Just a shame he doesn't do online (he's on a gambling ban - the self impossed variety).

But hey I want be paying for everything next Christmas which is fabulous!

    Have a good week folks

    Just a thought, all SPCers,
I wouldn't mind betting a lot of members who haven't declared yet didn't see the earlier closing date when it was changed last year - so, it might not be until the 26th that they came back to declare! Just to keep you all aware so you don't nag me for the Grand Total. :(;)
Please help me out folks by quoting the message above (NOT the entire post!) every so often so everyone gets to see it. Thanks so much, Sue xx

My money's on you being the best saver, Hicksy, so don't let me down!!!!! :j;)

PLEASE see the notice at the TOP of this post all members please.

I've FINALLY been able to pot something this month in my SP! I got paid today so can safely transfer the spare change in my purse to my pot, which would be £3.01 but I found a penny on Saturday so I'm potting £3.02. And I'll be able to add another 80p tomorrow once I've broken into the fiver left for my tap class.
    Hurrah!

A customer asked if she could pay me in cash today (usually paid online).Well, the cash included a £2 coin (I am nearly as excited about that as the £20 note :D).Well,I have potted the note, but have been fumbling around in the back of a cupboard, feeling for my minions £2 tin. When I find that, will pot the £2 coin as well: £22 for today.I am sure I can't afford to do that everyday ,but it is a nice treat today :j.

  • Hi everyone :hello:

£4.40 into the pot today. It's going to be a tight month this month, so I'm not sure how much I'll be potting.. We'll see ;)

Is it wrong that I'm actually looking forward to the frosts that are forecast at the weekend?! November has been too warm!
