Hello there ETO! :hello: It's wonderful to see you back with us. Not great to see that you've got so much more in debt but if you're going back to work then hopefully it will gradually start to rise even though you're on a reduced wage. The challenge of reducing your debt will take time but keep a firm hold on your spending reigns and it all helps. Savings wise let's hope a fresh start will see you having chance to gradually pot some aside in safety.
How's your DH and those 2 little treasures of yours?! :A:A Chin up ETO!!Charlie200b wrote: »Hi all
I'm going to have to declare now as I'm terrified of forgetting about it tomorrow
#181 £570
That's quite alright, Charlie200, I'd just as soon have some members declare now - why not! Congratulations on a fantastic amount potted, you've really done yourself proud!!!!! :j:T:j
CHOCOLATE.....TMD??! You're never serious!! I take it you are, but why not try and make only Saturdays and Sundays as chocolate days?! I have absolutely no idea what SAHM means, but I'm so pleased you're happy with all you've potted!!! Very well done indeed and do all you can to hopefully double it next year!!!:T:dance:
Great potting Frogletina though you're the first one to say they've actually potted a new £5er, tothers all want to save them; I really don't see any point but if they're happy then so be it. BTW, you do realise you'll have hurt a lot of feelings by saying that the pots were for kiddies! No doubt most of our family members use them!!! :rotfl:crimson.addict wrote: »Is this the first year for a while we've not had to start a new thread part way through the years as ours has gotten too big?
Sue do you need any help on the reminder threads this year?
x
Getting unbelievably close now eh, Ruth! Not long before our hands wreak of money and we're furiously scrubbing it off!!! In response to your question: this is about the third year we've not had to start another thread part way through - it seems as though some folk have other things to do rather than chat about their cash!!BTW Yes please, I'll be very glad of more help on the reminder thread, for now though there's only the one which is on the main DFW forum, I might still put one on the Challenges part but I don't want to confuse folk, especially when Friday comes with 3 different SPC threads on there! I'll give it some thought. Thanks Ruth!
Ooooh TheMillions, you've clearly had a rotten time and for so long too!!Getting over the hysterectomy, especially your second op, will have you traveling along a long recovery road, but be patient and kind to yourself and you'll get there! :grinheartStill, for now counting all your potted cash will be good therapy in the short term. Very well done with the money netted from the car boot sales, and at least you've got hubby involved with it all. I found it makes a huge difference to have mine on board. See you soon with your cash, and take great care of yourself!!!!!!
I'm going to have to declare my total a day early. Grand total is
£757.61.
Delighted with this amount, the best I have ever achieved on the SPC.
Cash is going to cover birthday prezzies, Christmas gifts and car MOT.
Hi again Fiasco and YAY!!!! :j:T:j Congratulations to you, no wonder you're over the moon with your savings, you've potted so incredibly well and I can easily imagine how delighted you are!!!!
OK, mrs-moneypenny, I'll look forward to seeing you back with a HUGE smile on your face tomorrow evening!jakes-mum wrote:I don't have to beg them no more Sue, they all recognise me and give me them automatically now :rotfl: Even the bank clerks seem to know who I am and give me those lovely coins in my change when I pay myy bills
See you on the morrow pottersand remember, no matter whether your total is in the £10's or £1000's, you saved it and should be thrilled and proud of your total
That doesn't surprise me one little bit, jakes-mum, in fact I knew it, I just wanted others too get an image in their heads, albeit not a good one, but....! :rotfl: A brilliant footnote for folks to think on by the way!Thrlling hours, Potters!! :jJust hours left!

#083 declaring £54.
Which should be just enough money to pay for a real :xmastree: this year. :rudolf:
Thinking of ways to increase my pot next year, most of the shopping is paid for on the Amex now (to help earn air miles) so perhaps I might have a virtual sealed pot running alongside my normal pot.Saving for Disney again, oops why book one Disney holiday when you can book two!:starmod: Emergency Fund Savings - #148 - £10/£1000 1% :starmod::xmastree:#083 SPC6 £63 - SPC7 £90 - SPC8 £63 - SPC9 £54 - SPC10 £26 - SPC12 £70 :xmastree:0 -

My total this time is not as high as last time. It is only £ 298. I guess not doing grocery shopping or not carrying any cash around is helping with the challenge. So next year I am going to set myself a target of £500.

Great potting Frogletina BTW, you do realise you'll have hurt a lot of feelings by saying that the pots were for kiddies! No doubt most of our family members use them!!! :rotfl:
I do like the style of the pots, it's just that they have Disney cartoons on them and I've never really been into cartoons.
This year I've got one decorated with coca-cola bottles from 1899 to 1957 which is more to my taste. Should have got more when I got that one.
I'm going to open it the way I did the last two, by pressing down on the seam as suggested by someone on here.
It's sitting next to me tempting me to open it.
