A very good afternoon all, SPCers, I hope it's been a good week for you all, and will prove to be an even better weekend! More incredible saving everyone, do keep it up gang as you'll be over the moon when you open those pots!!!!

Best wishes to anyone who mightn't be feeling so good or have other issues, here are some special {{{hugs}}} to help you get well soon. Your SPC family are thinking of you. :grinheart

That's an excellent cause you're in for, Westie and I really wish you all the best in completing it! Not able to myself due to health reasons, but I'm rooting for you. :T :j

Oooo Sue, don't you be pretending you haven't loved having me here these last 7 years! just think how boring your SPC life would have been without me :D :rotfl: We are a long way from those 2 bikes  when I joined up I never thought i'd get that much, now i'm cross with myself if I dont break the £1k mark :rotfl:

Oh, is that right, jakes-mum??! Ah I have to admit that your joviality has raised a huge number of giggles for me, you're right, where would SPC have been without you!!! :kisses3: Good on you too for all the help you're giving TheDapster with regards Coeliac's, I might need it myself if our DD's results come back with her having it! She's suffered terribly with violent diarrhoea for a number of years; the last couple of years they though it was the MS, but she had an appt with a Gastroenterologist yesterday and he thought coeliacs...but fingers crossed it's not as she's suffering plenty as it is.

Well saved, TheDapster! So sorry to hear you DD has coeliacs as well as young Jake, reading the post of both you and jakes-mum, what a palaver it must be, an expensive one at that!! Still, if it keeps them healthier then money just can't come into it. :D

Sue, I will NEVER leave. The sealed pot money is what I use to buy mine and the hubby's 25th of December presents (didn't want to use the C word with it only Being August!!!) Therefore, the more I save, the more we get ;)
Thanks for your kind words ❤️

    Emily x

That's absolutely GREAT news, Emily!!! I'm so chuffed to hear your savings comes in so handy for you and your DH for C...we wouldn't even dream of using the C word.....even though some others just can't help 'emselves!!

It's so good to see you dropping in, nannygladys! You really are keeping true to your word and saving your very best...keep up the great work!! BTW, I'd be tremendously grateful if you'd pop your SPC No (6) on your siggy for me - please!

Don't worry, NeedToBeDebtFree, we all understand that it's never easy to save when the littlies are on holidays, but as and when you can is just wonderful!!

How big is that naughty bench? We don't need biccies or chocolate, we got sweeties tucked in our knickers bra's :rotfl:

    Welcome back boss lady :D

It's plenty big enough to house you lot for as long as it takes, mummytummy, you're welcome to those sweeties if you've stored them in the striked out place!!! In your case you'd most definitely say.....DOWN UNDER!!!!!!! :rotfl::rotfl:

Thanks for the welcome back, AntoMac. So you've been in our neck of the woods recently then...though we're actually closer to Yeovil and we spell Cawslaw proper we does, but then we would!! :A Ah, I see you're not toooo far away then, though I expect SM is about as far from you from you as it is from us. Having said all that DH & I originate from good ole 'ampshire, the New Forest - God's own county for real!! :j Good savings btw, before we get too distracted!! You're one of us for real now...the addiction bit I mean, it gets to you doesn't it, not a bad thing with savings though. :D

There's nowt measly about potting £2.82, plumduff, :naughty: it's still a fair amount and every bit all adds up, so be happy....and just look at the bargains you saved loads on!! There's times to save, but always time to spend and you managed to do both!

Thanks so much, siju, much appreciated. You ignore that awful lot that purposely keep on mentioning the dreadful C word...they'll be sorry I'll make sure of it!! Every bit of savings counts!

Don't you worry, tizzi, you're doing the right thing in questioning your spends and saves and...whatever you thing best is the thing to do! Also...if you want to use your SPC money for your Wedding then you go ahead and do just that!

You save as and when you're able to, Evkizzy, not always easy is it. ;)

    Wonderful saving, Florence!

    Well saved as always, Chutney!

Oh, what a shame your DH's onto you, Vicky, keep an eye out though as like as not he'll forget himself one day! ;)

Soo pleased you enjoyed your holibobs Sue and thanks a million for the :staradmin. I don't know how you manage to keep them all in order every year :rotfl:

Thanks a lot, Lynne, though how you've got the nerve to say about tothers when you were sailing a little close to the same wind I don't know! :D Well saved with your £10er!! I take it you've been wrapped up with the Olympics eh? Did you watch the hockey? An excellent win last night!!!!!!!! I'm going to miss it like mad. :(

Hi all, I've potted a big load of cash from my purse ( uncounted ), 2 x lottery wins of £2.80 & £7.90 plus a bingo win of £27.50. Oops, nearly forgot the few pence roadkill from Llandudno last week. Very happy with that lot.

    Hope everyone is well.

As mad as it sounds, if she does have Coeliacs, the G/F diet should stop the diarrhoea and may also help with the fatigue (another symptom of both diseases) and I promise its really not as awful to deal with as non coeliacs like to make out. Its all second nature to me and you know i'll bombard your inbox with recipes for yorkshire puddings, cakes and biscuits so she doesn't have to miss out on all the yummy stuff (or pay a fortune to eat yummy stuff!)

DH came home from the pub with over £8 in change in his pocket yesterday, I felt I should show him some love by saving him the embaressment of having his trousers fall down from all that weight :D so its in the tin :D:D

I'm not liking it at all. If it wasn't for my VSP then i'd have given up long ago and gone back to counting. It's only because i know i'm going to have a certain amount from my VSP that's kept me going.

Different ways work for different people i guess

£3.92 into the pot today, leftover change from weekend and today's shopping. I was also excited about Newcastle United being around on Saturday and went to that game as a BCFC supporter, but will admit I was more excited by Newcastle :)
