Thank you Sue, and thanks Sue and everyone for the warm welcome.

I potted just £1.50 last week. Must do better. On the positive side it's £1.50 more than not potting anything

It's so hot here....:( I know I moan when it's raining, but it's almost tropical at the moment. Was fantastic weather over the half-term though, so mustn't grumble.

32p to pot, which is all I had left...holidays are expensive!

My goodness it's been a busy week. DS has completed his final year in university and has come home  He has taken over at least 4 rooms in the house and left a trail of [STRIKE]clutter [/STRIKE] important items in his wake. On Friday he flies to America to work for the next 4 months so there has been a lot of "how do I?", "where can I?" etc etc to sort/answer. I appear to have been running around like a bluea**ed fly ;) I love him to bits although, as I told DH, it's lovely to see him come home, but I can't wait for him to go either! Oh well, next week I'll probably be saying how much I miss him :D

In potting news I have £4.21 to pop in my pot today :T Roll on Friday!!!!!!!

Morning all, hope everyone is well.
Was in the local shop and heard a guy telling another customer his friend had just rung him to say he'd bought some scratch cards from that shop and everyone was a winner so he'd come to get some of the same one. He was in front of me in the queue and bought 20 cards at £3 each! And said he'd be back to claim his winnings, I decided to take a chance on one so bought one of that type and one of another I occasionally get. So I spent £6, the one that was his type of card won me £20 the other won £10. Later in the afternoon I went back to claim the winnings, the rack was empty of that type of card the check out lady commented on the wins and told me a guy had been in earlier and bought loads, I told her I was there and had bought mine based on his convo and said I wonder how he did. Not as good as me apparently. He'd spent £60 came back to claim £20 from those and bought the remaining cards with that and then scratched them in store netting only £3. So he lost £60 plus the bit money he won back. My £30 is safely stashed in my pot.

I sat down tonight to look for a receipt in my [STRIKE]tardis of doom[/STRIKE] handbag.I never found it,but I did manage to evict receipts going back to before Christmas .While I was at it,thought I would empty my purse of coins, because the zip on the purse doesn't zip,and there were soooooo many loose coins (especially 1 and 2p pieces),it was just asking for an embarrassing purse explosion in the middle of a shop.
    So,into the pot went about 968 coins,totalling £1.14 :D.
Because I'm bored (and the boss isn't here :D),I am off to count up how many days to pot-opening.
    What day is it again?:rotfl:

4 x £2 coins in the tin last night and oooooo, some shrapnel of varying denominations in t'other tin.

Just been having a shufty at Disney :D:D:D was ooooooooooh sooooooooo tempted to book for this year as it was coming in at about £5k for the 4 of us for 2 weeks in school holidays! BUT my head over ruled my heart as 1) the whole point of us going was to encourage DS onto the path of not being a pain in the arris . . . I mean as a reward for good behaviour at school and trying his best in his GCSE's (and yes we did tell him that his bad behaviour would not only cost him an overpriced trip to Disney but his little sister who never puts a foot wrong at school ;) ) He doesnt take his exams till next may so i'm a bit worried that if we go this year he'll go 'ahh, had my reward can just not bother now!'
And 2) it gives me another 12 months to save for it :D but was good to see how the prices change for the hotels the closer you get too the leaving date as looking to book the same thing next year was coming in at roughly £8K , gives me more scope on how I need to organise booking everything.

So i'm going to console myself with basically military precision organising each park we want to visit, what rides and shows we will want to see, get reviews on EVERYTHING! not to mention the long slog that will be 'restaurants that serve Gluten Free' and 'How the eck will we feed him in the parks' research marathon. So if you dont see me for a few weeks, i've basically got lost on one of the many Disney Threads on here or any of the million links to other huge Disney info sites. If it seems its been a while since I appeared, could someone just stand at the door of the thread and throw chocolate in to help me find my way out!
