So sorry to hear about your Mum-in-law, I do hope she soon recovers. Very sad about your Birthday not being quite as you'd planned, but how thoughtful young Jake and Lily were, bless them both. :A:A PS. I've just read your latest post and am really wishing you well as you sound sooo rough. Take great care. Ah, I see you're feeling better now, I'm so pleased for you but do take care. A very Happy Birthday to Jake please.

Ahh MIL is ok, she was NOT a happy bunny the first day they forced her our of bed to start walking, I think if she could have reached that OT he would have got himself a nice black eye. I sent her up some Hotel Chocolat cappuchino chocolate and told her to give it too the OT so he could wave it in front of her to get her moving :rotfl: she told me to . . . well I wont repeat what she said but I dont think that chocolate wnt anywhere but her tummy :rotfl:

Glad you had a fab time in scotland, i've only been once to near Loch Ness but would love to go to Edinburgh! Am feeling much better, think it was part virus part everything going on at the minute, just completely wiped me out for days, but back up and fighting again :D

Ahh ty for Jakes birthday wishes, he had a good day and was spoilt rotten, actually got a smile out of the Teen Monster!

Been chucking change in as and when i've got some, will be shaking down DH in a few minutes when he comes back from the pub though i'm told he has no £2 coins    How Rude!! :rotfl:

A hello to you all from sunny Turkey.

Not doing much saving this week. Met up tonight with a Turkish male friend who I have known for 5 years and I agreed to meet up with him for a drink later. He said he had no money and I don't mind buying him a beer but when I arrived he was already there with two friends.

I just had a bottle of water costing 2 lira. His beer was 10, which was ok but it transpired I was paying for all 3 beers. So I paid out 32 lira which only left me with 10 so I called it a night and he walked me back to the hotel.

    When will I ever learn!

    Thanks Sue!! :)

Have had a bit of a hiccup where my overdraft was taking a hit, so have used my eB*y money to help clear that (along with some savings not included in any of the challenges) so have adjusted my totals back down by £21.62. The eB*y money wasn't in the tin so I haven't broken into it - it was added into the total but still in my Paypal account so no harm done there.

It was less about overdraft fees but the chunk it was taking out of my wages, and we go on holiday in 3 weeks so need to be roughly on the straight and narrow (I would usually open my sealed tin for our hols).

In non-money related news, a friend I met through liking Benedict, had a brain tumour removed on Thursday and is home already!! Fortunately it's more than likely benign although we're awaiting confirmation on that.

    Welcome home Sue-UU.
Mostly we have been behaving ourselves while you were away, honest :D.
Gradually the house is getting back into shape.Still a fair way to go,but I am happy to just pootle along, doing what I can when I can.Have got alot done this week, with it being school hols.Helped DD's ages 9 and 7 blitz their bedroom yesterday. The way DD 7 was carrying on,you would think I was water-boarding her icon_eek.gif.I have told them we will go back to our routine of blitzing bedrooms every school holiday-it is about 7months since it was last done (to be fair we have been out of the house for 5 months)-never again.
Potting-wise,today I potted £10.47.This was change I left at the side of the bed we had been using at inlaws' house.Found it a few days ago when I bundled up another load of stuff to bring home.

Hi, can I crawl back in please? I haven't managed to read any posts since page 125. Got a lot to catch up on. :o
I'm still potting as much as I can. There's £1.91 on the side to go in and I managed £22.35 the other week that I brought back off holiday. :)
I finally got around to claiming disability and, to my surprise, I've been awarded some.:D

I also banked £72 before we went away. Adding it to sig now.

I hope everyone is ok and enjoying the sun.
